What happened before the game retired?
From the looks of things, Shelby gave the Bulldogs more than most expected. Even made ol Bobby pull out a couple of his trick plays in the 1st round.
Tough season for the Rockets but if I am correct, the Rockets only lose 3-4 players? Could they be a team to watch out for in the next couple of seasons?
They are in a district with Male starting next year, correct?

Does anybody know what the Eagles of LCA are eating for their pregame meal?

Male's def score twice? Really? You think they are going to pick up 2 fumbles and run them back for TD's? Shelby County is not going to throw it so they cant run back an interception. Maybe you meant Def/Special Teams? I would more so believe this than the def running back 2 fumbles.

Eastern is one of the top 3 6A teams in the state behind the 2 privates. This one ends in a blowout. Easter 42-21

I def think Shelby can compete with their new found power running game, but Col Mike is correct. If they are forced to throw the football, then it could get ugly for the Rockets. The Rockets need the defense to keep them in the game as long as it possibly can and hope that the Rocket O can get something going.

Shelby County goes into a district with Male, Fern Creek and Southern.

I would be willing to guess that the SHelby Co schedule has turned out a lot tougher then they had planned on when it was made 3 years ago. Think about North Hardin's, North Bullitt's or even Doss' status 3-4 years ago? Johnson Central was a late add on during the big storm week and they def added toughness to the schedule.
Eastern, South Oldham and Oldham have always been on the schedule and I would hope it would stay that way.
Manual was the one game that the Rockets added to the schedule hoping to see where they stacked up each year against the best.
Schedule would still have been tough and Shelby would still prob have 3-4 losses, but a winning season and success wouldve looked a lot more attainable had Cresap stayed healthy.
Hopefully Cresap is doing well and comes back strong next season for his junior year.
Col Mike, who does the rain and wet conditions give the advantage to, if either team?

Going right along with how tough the schedule has been for the Rockets.
Using bluegrasspreps.com rankings:
North Bullitt- 4a #8
Johnson Central- 5a #3
Manual- 6a #3
Scott Co- 6a #4
Eastern- 6a #5
Madison Central- 6a #8.
Not to mention the Rockets play 5a #7- Oldham County tonight.
Schedule has been brutal for the Rockets along with numerous injuries to starters.
The positive for Rockets fans is the fact that they only lose 3 starters and only 7-8 seniors overall.
Should be an exciting season next year for the Rockets. They deserve it after this season.

Can we get a poll?

I will have to agree with "scrockets" and Ill use FACTS and STATS to back it up. The Rockets are giving up 233 yards rushing per game. No where near the tops in the state but compare it to the opponents of the teams the Rockets have played.
1. North Hardin- 101 yards
2. North Bullitt- 239 yards- obtained many times this season by Dalton Cissell and company.
3. Johnson Central- 281 yards- a whole lot less than the 481 yards per game that Johnson Central is averaging. Including 684, 582 and 572 in their last 3 games.
4. Scott County- 290 yards- Scott averages 264 yards per game.
5. Manual- 232 yards- average 200 yards per game.
6. Clark County- 187 yards- Less than theyre average Im sure.
7. Louisville Eastern- 229 yards- they average 249 yards per game.
8. Madison Central- 308 yards-average 241 yards per game. Only bad effort put up by the Rockets this season according to the opponents of their very difficult schedule.
The opponents of the Rockets so far this year have a 44-12 record. Thats including Clark, Scott, and Mad Cen beating each other, an Eastern loss to Trinity, a Scott Co loss to Lex Cath and North Hardins losses to Bowling Green and Warren Central.

Very well stated!! Nothing but facts stated about the Shelby County side. Couldnt have said it better myself.

Shelby County wil win this one by more than just an edge.

Maddox is a good player. No doubt. But to compare him to Penny is the craziest thing I have ever read. Penny had 17 and 10 in the regional tournament and had mono. He didn't go to school for 2 weeks after that game. Penny is a career 20 and 10 man.

I would have to vote for Madison Central @ Male to be in the top 5 somewhere.
