These 2 square off on Saturday at Tates Creek in the Fayette County bowl.
Shaw vs. Quanoo(?) in the backfields.
What are your thoughts?
Can we get a poll?

Eric Shaw is the do-all athlete for Lafayette.
1st week- 140 yards rushing, 3 TD, 3 rec 32 yards, 8 tackles vs. Tates Creek
Jacob Russell is the QB for Anderson County. Not sure about his stats in week 1 but I know his team won by a bunch. The kid is being recruited by Purdue, WKU and UK.
Ill see if I cant find his stats from Week 1.

I think Eric Shaw has to be in the discussion.
Also, Quan Weaver, Jacob Russell, Collinsworth, Miles Simpson

Woodford lost a good senior class so this is somewhat of a rebuilding year for them. 28-21 Western Hills wins.

The final of 34-19 is correct.
Looked like a totally different Lafayette team from last week with Eric Shaw and David Kenner on the field.
Eric Shaw- 137 yards, 3 TD's and he probably missed 3 offensive series because of cramps. Hes an exceptional high school football player. Special to watch!!!

Thats bad news for Tates Creek

I think you will see a little bit different Lafayette team tonight whether Shaw plays or not. Anybody know any details on his status?

I know of some organizations that have fall ball for high school players. However, high school coaches can't coach their players until February 15th.

Colonel Mike I think Simon Kenton and NO would be close to even without Hicks. Both teams have good pg play. NO is bigger but I know Simon returns a good a wing player. And just for the conversation you posted Shelby's record against NO the past 3 years is 3-2 but I think NO is 0-4 against AC and Shelby is 2-5 against AC the past 3. Thats why I have to keep AC in 2nd right now.

If the kid ends up at North it will confirm what many people think about North's staff. This hurts Shelby with him they are the favorite. Without him this region becomes a 3 team race the same as last year. Say what you want but SC then has 2 players that others team have trouble matching in Beckley and Johnson. The others are average players. I don't see how NO could be the 2nd choice with Anderson returning Russell, Ruggles, the big center, and their point guard. If NO gets Hicks then they become a major player without him they are the 4th best team. With him they have a legit shot at winning the region. Simon Kenton will be much improved this year as well.

:confused:This is what I don't like about the sectional this season between the 8th and 7th region. The schedule for it is M-W-F rather than 3 nights in a row. The schedule defeats the purpose of a series in which you would have to see a teams top 3 pitchers. Now it will be a team's ace throwing twice in the same series. You might as well have just 1 game if you are going to do a MWF series. It defeats the purpose of a series and I can't understand why it's not 3 nights in a row. Would someone explain the logic in that?

Russell had 9 rushes, 41 yds and a TD. 10/15, 137 yds and a TD. Also had an interception on defense.
