  1. I hope that's the case, that means CovCath beat HC in the opening round of the districts.

Again I still think this CovCath team could make some post season noise. If Baker & Schult play like they did tonight, and Cubby plays his normal game, they will be a tough match up for most teams.

I think this Dixie team has to be the favorite in the 9th. Hatton is the Best player in the 9th region, Stansberry (Sp) impressed me as well. If they can get a better effort from their post players they will be hard to beat.

I still think Trammell is the key to the leadership on the floor.

  2. Not sure which game you were watching Bengal Maniac, but Newcath sat back in a zone practically the entire game.

As you stated, this was a 2-4 point game the entire game up until about the 3 minute mark when Newcath got a 3 to go ahead by 5.

Newcath was the better team and continues to have Holmes' number, plain and simple. When Hayes tied the score at 44-44, Brannen went to a stall ball method and it worked to perfection as it forced Holmes to be more aggressive and Newcath drew fouls.

On a side not, Newcath fans should be embarassed of the fan who made the comment about all the Holmes players looking alike when Brannen was yelling shooter. Absolutely classless and my girlfriend couldn't even believe a grown adult would stoop that low to say something like that about HIGH SCHOOL KIDS. Pathetic.

Congrats to Newcath on the W. Too much Hightchew and Geisler. Hightchew is one tough kid.

Please tell me you are kidding!!!! :irked:

  3. This indeed was a very sluggish game. Really no flow to the game...too many whistles and both teams looked out of sync.

Hopefully NKU19, you get to see the real Dixie team in the future....this may have been their worst effort of the year.[/

I agree this is the most lack lustre game that Dixie has played. I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt the whistles were on the excessive side.

  5. Tough to say. They've put on a show in Northern Kentucky. But they've also yet to play a team in the top 20, or even on the outskirts of it.

Agreed...but Mason County is ranked in the top 20 and hasn't faired well as of late. I just think Northern Kentucky teams do not get the recognition they deserve. Cov Cath could be another argument for the same cause.
