  1. JH did have a weak schedule but they also had the largest margin of victory by anyone in 5A. JH has not been challenged until Oldham County came to town and after some adjustments by the coaching staff, JH pretty much took care of business. BY all means JH will have their hands full but they can match BG's play and come out on top...no doubt this will be a good game to see.
  2. Right now I have it at: 1. (t)Highlands (t) John Hardin (t) Bowling Green (t) Pulaski Next week there will be a 2-way tie for first and then the next week I see only one #1.
  3. Last year for John Hardin. Made it to the semi-state game and was beat by Christian County by a touchdown in the last few minutes of the game. This is J H's 9th season of football.
  4. Will do, also I advertised your broadcast on the JHHS Gridiron Club Website (under the Blog). Hope you enjoy your visit to our campus.
  5. Oldham County will be by far the best team John has faced this season. As with last year, this one could go either way. One thing for sure is the weather will be nicer this year than last. Look forward to your visit... JH - 35 OC - 10
  6. Here is the article from the News Enterprise: By CHUCK JONES cjones@thenewsenterprise.com RADCLIFF — It wasn’t as lopsided as the first time, but the result was the same for the John Hardin Bulldogs. After routing Louisville Doss, 52-8 during the regular season, the Bulldogs had to work for a 37-7 victory over the Dragons on Friday night in the Class 5-A playoffs at Bulldog Stadium. John Hardin, which ran its record to 12-0, hosts Oldham County (8-4) next Friday. Oldham County topped Jeffersontown, 24-21 in the second round. Tied 7-7, John Hardin scored on four of its next five possessions to blow the game open. The Bulldogs held Doss (5-7) to 21 yards of total offense, including minus-9 yards rushing. Senior Kaluen Marlow intercepted a pass and the Bulldogs also forced a fumble. The Bulldogs also registered six sacks with seniors Sammy Smith, Stanley Johnson and Zed Cofer and junior Matt Linton all getting at least one. John Hardin racked up 426 yards of total offense. The catalyst was junior halfback Landon Savoy, who rushed for 88 yards on 11 carries. He also threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to senior tight end Matt Simmons and caught three passes for 60 yards and one score. Savoy had 77 yards on three returns. Senior fullback Darrell Alston rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Sophomore Kyle Laing, making his first start in place of the injured Michael Wright, scored on a 22-yard run. Senior quarterback Alex Dingle completed 9-of-12 passes for 137 yards and one touchdown. Simmons had three catches for 68 yards, while sophomore Jeremy Harness had three catches for 34. After Laing’s scoring run, Doss senior Donald Bethel returned the ensuing kickoff 95 yards to tie the game with 5:00 remaining in the first quarter. John Hardin answered with a 68-yard, seven-play drive with Alston scoring from 9 yards out. Senior Alan Harber tacked on the extra point to give John Hardin a 14-7 lead with 1:41 left. Savoy had a hand in both second quarter touchdowns with his halfback pass to Simmons as well as catching a 19-yard touchdown pass from Dingle. The Bulldogs drove 53 yards on the opening possession of the second half with Alston capping the drive on a 2-yard scoring run to build a 35-7 lead with 9:09 remaining in the third quarter. John Hardin capped the scoring when Johnson and Smith sacked junior quarterback Deontae Yarnell in the end zone for a safety with 1:39 left in the third quarter. 7. I agree, should be over early. Coach Brown gets the JV/Fresh team by half... No disrepect to the Wildcats
  8. Good Luck to the Bruins, I see them going 6-0; Next week North Hardin and the week after, Larue County. I seen them play against DeSales and was beat all over the field until the 4th qtr. which is a change from previous Central teams not giving up. The first challenge will be against Nelson Co followed by Greenwood then Meade Co. Not sure they have the team to make a deep run in the playoffs.
  9. I agree. It will be fun to watch and see who comes out on top in this 6A district. Central destroyed E-Town (not a surprise) and North Lost to Shelby County (not a surprise either) Nelson and Greenwood both won. Good luck to the Greenwave
  10. First half was a defensive battle. I believe MC had 1 first down in the half. JH was moving the ball but flags kept moving them in the wrong direction. 2nd half was all JH. Take away all the penalties then a much closer game.
  11. I think just about everyone from Northern Kentucky is pulling for Christian County.
