  1. Define "roll back and forth."

Rolling from his left side to his back or all the way to right side and maybe back again or any combination of that. All while controlling the ball in an effort to protect the ball from the other team while trying to find an opening to hand off or pass to a teammate. You see this more in women's college ball and it usually winds up as a jump ball. But it happens at all levels.

  2. Good answer Clyde. To follow up from one of your examples: A1 dives for a ball that is rolling. A1 hits the floor, secures the ball, slides across the floor: nothing. Now after securing the ball, several players from both teams approach and in the ensuing entanglement the player with the ball begins to roll back and forth in an attempt to pass the ball to a teammate without being tied up. Is this a walk?

  3. I agree, but really, how many coaches do you see just sit for the entire game after T? Especially if the Tech comes early. I am sure you have seen this before, let be a little realistic about sit meaning sit. I welcome the observational comments, but some the comments about getting hosed when teams play the 16th region is more than just general comments, and seems like excuses to me.

I only see a few games out of the 10th and 11th regions and can't say much about how other regions handle the coach sitting after the first T, but in these two regions I can't recall an incident where a coach was allowed to wander after the first T. I am sure it has happened but to me the rule seems to be generally enforced. I couldn't make the game but it sounds like GRC had to many turnovers at the end and that cost them the game. They have struggled a few times late in games this year with turnovers and missed free throws. It had to catch up with them sooner or later. I do know that I have never seen a ref call an over and back on the volleyball line, at least it was corrected. And after the questionable way the game ended last year I would have been surprised if this game went any different. GRC just needs to move on and get ready for the other gams this week.

  4. If 3600 was the announced crowd, don't see any way that gym would hold 4000, seemed full to me,except for standing. Will the concessions be bigger for the regional, will there be more concession areas other than the one? Loved the gym and all the bells and whistles(backed seating), but without a dog in the hunt still like The Fieldhouse better, like having a Cracker Barrell close though.

Went to several games there the last time the regional was there and from a fan's perspective it seemed to work out well. All in all it's a nice facility.
