Congrats to the Lady Pioneers:dancingpa
Back to Back Sweet 16 appearences:banana:

SK came out flat. WV fans were into the game until the 2nd quarter then SK unleashed a bombshell of off/def and out scored WV 20 to 4 in the 2nd.
it was over after that.
Great game girls Good Luck at South Oldham.:dancingpa

I saw Nancy Winstel of NKU at Simon Kenton a few weeks ago and was wondering who she might have been looking at. It was the Simon Kenton-Newport Catholic game.
Nancy was there to watch NCC's Courtney Sandfoss. Chelsea Tolliver is 6th on her list.

They return 7 offense and 7 defense players from the 2008 team, the talent is there.
If they play as a team, one game at a time big things can happen in 2009.
-
There will be a Press Conference soon to announce the teams that will be playing.:thumb:

UK, U of L, WKU, several tournaments in June, I do not know what they will do but I believe that this will hurt them. Universities are getting ready for players to report and their upcoming seasons, not putting on passing tournaments in July. I hope the universities speak p on behalf of the growth of Kentucky high school football.
I know of several big 7 on 7 tournaments that have already scheduled dates in July.

In our phone calls to the Bengals, we were told you had to be the Enquirer team or coach of the week to be honored.

St. X most likely in the 3rd round for NKY.
I'll take makin it to the 3rd round next season>:ylsuper:

Do you know where HC will fall on the schedule? I know most contracts are two year deals, so my guess would be in late October since BC and Henry Clay played on October 31 this season. Do you know if we will still be playing NCC in the Newport Bowl? I really like the additon of Henry Clay.
Unless something has changed, we are still playing NCC in the Newport Bowl.

So far for 2009 schedule SK has added Henry Clay and Scott but are still looking to fill the other spots.
-
Miles Simpson of Simon Kenton

That kid is a player and I wish the best of luck to him in College

Legal Hit - - The kid is alright - Let it go - you lost - its over -
That is pretty Classless..:irked:

Prayers from the SK fans and community.

Just let X and T play in the state game. The only thing this plus 1 format is doing is showing how flawed the system is and wasting a lot of peoples time.
Just let T and X play 15 weeks straight then, the team with the most wins wins the championship. come get serious.

It doesn't just happen. Someone at Scott has to make it happen. Taylor Mill has grown a lot over the past 10-15 years. Start your own NKYFL organization and watch what happens in about 4 years. People thought South Kenton was crazy starting their organization and look at them now. If not that, then get into the middle school football league that has taken off the past few years. That is the only way it is going to happen at Scott.
Starting your own NKYFL organization, that's not going to happen the South Kenton Nittany Lions and Raiders control the boundries around taylor Mill and neither will give up any territory! This has been tried several times over the past 10 years to no avail.

Beechwood by atleast 2 TD's

Arrogant and Insulting? Welcome to the real world of 6A. 56-0 is the average of SK's only two games versus Trinity. It is very possible that Trinity can achieve this margin of victory. I do believe the 'Neers will score against the Rocks second team. Make it 49-7 with a running clock in the third quarter.
That was Arrogant... SK and Trinity are both in the State Championship Game. That means they are the best two teams in KY 6A. It's not going to be a blow out, if anything it will be close. All SK has to do is withstand Trinity's first punch, and SK will come back in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarter just like in the past two games.
Final: SK-21 Trinity-17 :ylsuper:

Does anybody remember a few years ago when Ryle made the same "magic run" to the state championship, only to be embarrassed by the same team SK will be playing (Trinity). This one will turn out to be the same, close in the first half, blowout in the second. Trinity is too deep, and too well coached to let a one man team (SK-Miles Simpson) and it surely is one athlete who wins their games, I do believe Marksberry said it himself.... Sorry Pioneers, Trinity will show you 6A football....
SK plays as a team, sure they have a player who is good, but without the help of the other 10 players on the field they would'nt be were they are today.

Simon Kenton has a few Sophomores.. All have started this year..
Austin Baldwin- 5'9" 180 LB
Chad Lawrence- 5'10" 150 QB
Zach Carroll- 5'10" 150 Slot/DB

Now if NCC and SK would just put Highlands on their schedule that would be nice.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but I have heard that SK is going to play Highlands in the near future. I believe it would be the 2011 class. Because of SK's Freshman class of 2008 beating Highlands twice. If this is true, that WOULD BE a game to attend.
-
SK has 4 losses so I guess he missed all 4. Maybe a SK fan can clarify. I am just going by what I read.
Lawrence started his season at QB during the week of the Russell game.

Did anyone else get the feeling that Male didn't really care that much about this game?
We found out that they had already ordered their Championship rings.
Miss basketball??

Chelsea Tolliver is that good. Her 5'5" height is what hurts her in recruiting at the D1 level. I have seen some of the other girls they don't command the floor like she does.
