I think Boyle will take care of business Friday. They HAVE faced adversity a few times this year and came out better each and every game against some really good teams. Bell is a great team and will give Boyle a challenge, but the Rebels will prove to be too much for them in the end.

Offense-Boyle
Boyle 28

Our hats off to the Knights also. I think both teams showed each other a ton of respect. Not only the players, but the fans on BGpreps. It's always good when you have a great team and still respect another great team you're about to play. We didn't have to talk down to each other or be arrogant or cocky, we just support our guys and let them do their thing on Friday night. LC has a great bunch of athletes and great fans too.:thumb:

Exciting game. It had the feel of the first game where I felt like the Rebels had control, but that Catholic could take that momentum away at anytime. This is the first game I have screamed as much as I did and I look forward to screaming in Log Mountain. BGPer toolaidback sat in front of me at the game and we high fived all night, especially on the hook and lateral play to Rees MacShara. Great play, great game, great outcome. The Rebels are back ladies and gentlemen. And yes, Rees MacShara should be at least mentioned in the Mr. Football hunt.
Hey purplepride92, let's just hope we're screaming and high fiving next week. Great game Rebels, Reese was awesome again tonight. I also thought Phillip Mason had a great game. He seemed to be more relaxed tonight and not panic when things didn't work out right. It was good meeting Purplepride and Labman from BGpreps. Hope to see you guys next Friday.

Glad to have you come LCPats. No doubt about it, tonight is going to be very tuff, and only hope we come out on top. I want to just advance and move on, don't care what the score is.
I'm with you Rebel , I don't care what the score ends up being, as long as we get the W. I'm heading out in about an hour to tailgate. So, my prediction is:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Belfry should handle their business this week.

I know lately I've found myself checking the site every couple of hours just to see any updated threads. Kind of addicting.:thumb:

:argue: Something tells me this thread is going to go WAY past 9 pages now.

I've got to go with my Rebels. They got off to a slow start tonight, but Franklin was really giving us fits throughout the game, which is good in my opinion. If we can stay focused this coming week, we should be ok. it's hard to beat a team twice, but our boys know it's one and out and they will rise to the occassion. GO REBELS!:ylsuper:

Big game next Friday in Titletown.
Congrats to the knights. Come on down, we'll have the hot chocolate ready. It's going to be a great one.

How does Belfry manage to field a team full of such strong players on a yearly basis? They must have a good off-season weightlifting program.
I've gave this some thought, and I can only come to one conclusion:

CLONES!!!
Way to go Belfry, that's one heck of a way to represent eastern Ky.

This was a good win for the rebels, I hope they're a little sharper next week, I think we're going to have to play flawlessly. Now I can start thawing out my feet.

Ballard & PRP. They would have to beat St. X and Trinity just to get there, that's ridiculous.
I was going to mention Boyle, but you definately trumped me.

Of course you have to take into consideration the offense each one faces.

2 voters for Pendleton County, can we get 3?
They are the ones that are broke on their first day in Vegas!

This will probably be the toughest team Bryan Station will face in the playoffs.

Winner of East Jessamine and Franklin County
That's what I said/meant. Ok guys, quit editing my post.:sssh::confused:

Winner of W. Jess & Harrison Co.

Danville will win big, they've just been keeping the fans on edge this season. Now it's time to grow and play as a team. I HOPE!!

By the way, House of Pain, I replied to your very friendly/mature pm.

If Boyle can score against Bell and keep Monte Merrick out of field goal range they will win but the little word IF stops a lot of things.
Heck, if that's the case you guys aren't allowed past the 50 yard line :-) In all seriousness, I do hope our teams get a chance to play. It would definately be a hard hitting defensive game and probably better than the state championship game.:thumb:

Again, Highlands is the top dog until proven otherwise. They should walk through to Papa Johns and then handle their business their as well. I'm sure they welcome someone to try and prove them wrong.
-
Yeah, but the kids of those 0-10 teams will remember for the rest of their lives that they made the playoofs (especially the seniors) and they don't care why or how they made the playoffs they are just glad they are playing and that is what it is suppose to be about...THE KIDS!
If that's the case, why not give them a state championship trophy, they can display it in their school hallway and tell all the incoming teams how they didn't have to go out and earn the title, just show up.

I had the same argument back in the early championship days of the Rebels. We ended up playing a couple of times for some hardware and it all equalled out in the end.
I would love to be in the same district as the Birds just for the shear competitiveness. Wouldn't that be awesome to have a couple of state powerhouses challenging each other year after year (other than X-Tinity). I know the Rebels have tremendous respect for the birds.
As far as who's the better of the two, my opinion would be the same as when we use to play- whoever showed up to play and wanted it more that particular night. Play hard and we wish you good luck throughout the tournament.:ylsuper:

The good thing about a matchup like these two teams is, it WILL show just how good each team really is come friday, because we are pretty well matched up. No excuses, no field conditions, no "well we had an off night". You have two great teams going head to head and it will be settled Friday on log mountain and I can't wait. Good luck to both teams.:ylsuper:
