I though Farris stadium was amazing, the new lights really made the stadium stand out. we parked 1 block away and walked right in. Great atmosphere, but there's nothing like a true home game at Rebel Stadium.
-
My understanding is that Boyle is getting turf in the offseason. around the $400k ballpark
-
Let's hope both teams don't rely on their "past" meetings to predict the outcome this friday and come ready to play! Good luck to both teams.
-
Catholic may not even get past Holmes so if they didn't and Boyle won they would be traveling up North. So they wouldn't have to worry about it then.
Anything is possible.

Now I'll say that West is the big underdog here, by quite a large margin. But whenever I see an article that explicitly mentions the coach referring to a matchup past the playoff game at hand, it makes me raise my eyebrows. If the reporter wants to speculate on why they changed the venue, let them. But if I was the coach I would never ever say this:
“We would prefer to have Lexington Catholic at our place if we can get our field back in shape. If we get that far, we would prefer to play them on natural grass, not the turf."
I know he dances around it, but it still explicitly states Lexington Catholic. If I were the Colts I would feel incredibly disrespected.
I'm sure Coach French has nothing but respect for the colts and their program, the article was clearly focused around the use/condition of the rebel field, not about overlooking WJ. The playing field for friday night is Centre College.. so the next possible game would probably be against Catholic. He said "if we get that far". Anyone who follows high school football knows who the next "possible matchup" will be next friday, saying Lexington Catholic didn't really let any cat out of the bag.

Congrats to Boyle Co.
I would like to say that Coach Larry French, his staff, and players are first class. Boyle Co is a top notch program. Good luck to the rebels in the playoffs.
Go to work Bourbon Co and you can again make huge strides next year.
Thanks, and good luck to Bourbon County next season.

Hey Highlands fans, you guys have the best team EVER. Your so talented, hard working, dominating, this team is probably too good to be playing in Ky, your beautiful on the inside and out. :notworthy::notworthy:
There, that should hold you for a couple of hours!
I'm not a hater, y'all do have a great program.

Here's a link to the story from the Advocate Messenger

I hope it goes EXACTLY like your predictions, won't hear a single complaint from me:clap:

Bell is the real deal. They are looking like a shoe-in for an upcoming title.:thumb:

Any stats on the game? Who will Bourbon play next week?
We will be hosting Bourbon Co. here at Boyle Co. next week.

I hear the Oakland ,Tn. game last week took it's toll on Christian Co.
Christian Co. is expected to be without:
QB Alex Davie for 2 weeks
WR/LB Bubba Tandy out indefinitely
MLB J.P. Finley out for the year with a broken collarbone
MLB Willie Trawick who is Finley's backup is also out
-
I know if we plan on coming home with the W, we will have to hold on to the ball. Christian Co. will definately be our best test yet, and just in time for the playoffs. Go Rebels

I guess my sarcasm doesn't translate well in this one.
My point with the smilie face was how often AM declares "what is official" without checking the real official stats people. :thumb:
Print first, ask questions later!!!lol

Man, this is great for the Ft. Knox sqad. congrats

Do you still think that Henry Clay is one of them?

The site would have to be agreed upon too. In section II 7 C it just says that the team that is designated as the home teams such as odd regions this year host the semi's. Back in 1992 when we played Highlands in the semi's we played it on Thanksgiving this is why the rule is schange that both teams would have to agree. I am like you I've been wrong before. I geuss it will al come out later. If it came to a Boyle and Bell game Centre could not hold it.
Forgive my ignorance, but in which section does it state that the SITE must be agreed upon by both teams, it looks to me as if both would have to agree only if there is a change with the initial date the game would have been played on.

I had also heard the games may be played on centres field, wasn't sure if it was a rumor or not.

I, for one, haven't seen the rebel fan base on here being classless. We are as excited as anyone is about our season going the way it has so far. It has been said time and time again that we aren't looking past any team on our schedule. IF we win, I will be the first one on here to "RELISH" knocking off an undefeated team, but i'm sure at that point there will be PLENTY of folks on here telling us how we should have won anyway and how weak WJ schedule was. Just my $.02. Good luck tomorrow night Rebels.
-
Good point. Just what shade of purple are you guys? I'm wondering if we might eventually see purple all over the field before long? Boyle/Lone Oak.
I have great respect for Boyle.:ylsuper:
Don't let PurplePrides screenname fool you, we're all BLACK and GOLD here in Rebel Nation.

I thought so. No shame in that loss. Great program. If do get to play again and they should it will be a fun night.
If we do meet again, I hope it's a little warmer this time.. I'm still thawing out!
Boyle County/Lexington Catholic Predictions

I agree, you will see 4 quarters of football friday. There will be a little more sense of importance this week to advance. I feel the same way about the score, I don't see LC scoring 24 against our defense. We will probably give up some big plays in the air, but not too many on the ground.
My prediction
BC 28
LC 14
