I would like to announce a whole new feature this year as you can listen on your iphone, ipad, Blackberry, Android and Kindle Fire! When you go click here to bring up our broadcast page, in the top left there is a link to "Switch to mobile view". You will either see a link for live or archive broadcast. If you plan on ever listening to a live game, go ahead and practice bringing up the Campbell County game so you can be sure to know the steps. It will be awesome for the fans to tune in from anywhere with a smart phone and catch the Colonels live. If you are at the game you can tune in to get updates on players and stats, but of course it will about a 30 second delay. If you listen to an archive, you can fast forward to any point in the game just like on a computer. This is such an exciting enhancement, we hope you take advantage of it.
Will it let you filter out certain announcers?

Wow is right. Great game to listen to.
I love to see Heppler and Conner step in at the end take care of business.
Great job Colonels.
-
Hayden wasn't in the box in the paper. Did he play?
-
35 - 8 CovCath Final.
Great win by the Colonels. Beat Highlans!!!!!!!!!!

Grant Guess is my hero..
What a great kid.

How has Ashland played against a more balanced offense that can throw the ball around?
Obviously they loaded the box against Belfry and used their speed to contain the outside. I assume they used this same approach against Johnson Central, who doesn't throw much. They can't do that this week.
But I do hope they try.......

The worst I've heard was at a CovCath vs Holmes basketball game being played at Holmes. The crazies were chanting, "Walk Home Safely". I admit I chuckled, but I felt bad about it later.

One would think a HS principal would know how to use a reflexive pronoun properly in a formal correspondence . But then again, perhaps not.
(Sorry, it is one of my pet peeves)
-
That is what I was thinking to.....:idunno:
Two years back CovCath suspended two players for TWO games for having smokeless tobacco in their lockers. That says something about standards and results you get by setting the bar high and holding the kids to it.
-
All I can say is 'WOW'.
WOW.
-
Okay, I'll bite. Why wouldn't it be the same guy whose played all year (except for the suspension early in the season)?
-
So can someone explain to me why the roughing the passer penalty against NC on Newports long TD pass was assessed on the ensuing kick off? That was not a dead ball foul, so should that not have been an accept or decline penalty.
Gotta give credit to Newport. Those kids never gave up.
Congrats to NC.
-
If it wasn't complaining and only to point out the oddities of it why did you point out Harrison only had 2 penalties? Did those result in TD's being called back as well?
So what are you looking for from TOG? An apology? Banishment? You made your point.
Back to the game. Fantastic numbers by Mr. Grey. For Mr. Dressman's TD, was he under center, wild cat, or at RB?

Someone needs to take UK#1's belt and shoe laces.
Congrats Camels. It's good to see kids hang in there after how rough this season has been. Good life lessons for those young men.
-
Ahem, ahem.......
-
Glad I missed this one in person. I would'a stroked out. Two close games in a row. Tick, tick birdies.....
-
Three words: Paging Mike Leach ...
This would be a train wreck in slow motion. I grew up a Texas Tech fan and shortly after he was hired people began to see this man was toxic. The fastest way for UK to become competitive in the SEC is to the way of Ga Tech. Get an offense that is so one off teams can't prepare for it. Or at least not without difficulty. If UK tries to do what everyone else is doing, they can not hope to compete.
-
Now, now, we wouldn't go as so far to call CovCath evil...
Someone missed my point.....
-
The CCH D was better prepared for this game.
The fundamental difference between this year's team and last.
-
In this classic struggle doesn't good always prevail?
In the end, yes good does prevail. I does, however, take it on the chin sometimes.
-
CovCath Highlands. Its a classic struggle of good vs evil.
-
If someone told you that CovCath held BCHS to less than 100 yds rushing and asked you to predict the score, would you have come up with this?
Hats off the Boone County team, they are a very good football team.
-
There are only a handful of traditional power "football programs." There are a lot more schools out there that aren't competitive, don't win, and have traditions of failure. Why do you fault some of them for going out and upgrading their uniforms, building nice stadiums, state-of-the-art field houses, etc. and getting their schools noticed?
By the way, Ohio State, LSU, and Navy will unveil new Nike Pro Combat uniforms this year. Alabama, Florida, and Ohio State each began wearing them last year. It seems like even the traditional powerhouses want in on it.
So by your reasoning, Navy will be in a BCS Bowl this year and/or recruit a Heisman candidate next year? Not hardly. After all, if garish (you might have to look that one up) uniforms are an indicator, then Army would have take the crystal trophy a couple of years ago with the hideous digital camo uni's.
-
You didn't even read the article did you?
Kids are saying it, and stupid or not its the way it is, get used to it.
Adapt and move forward or get left behind...no one in here is saying you have to do it those schools with 100 year old traditions of winning do not have to but to dog the schools who do not have the tradition for doing whatever they can to contend and improve is asinine.
I am sorry, maybe I've forgotten. Remind me when Miami, Va Tech, Oregon, Maryland, or any other cartoon football team won a National Championship. As far as any kid playing now can remember it has been a team with traditional uniforms or am I forgetting someone? (Don't give me The "U" in the '80's)
Is this the year the Raider ship sinks?

Taking on water, yes. Sinking, no.
