I was told on Thursday that there was a problem with the paper work.
I do not know if this is the end of it or corrected papers had to be re-filed.
-
He was at CovCath's practice today

Too much free time, speaking for my own kids...they hated the extended time off! Most kids like a structured day that is consistent, even in the summer.
That is the same thing the parents I talked to said.
-
Go live again next Mon 7/14. Catholic school dead period started closer to a week earlier than KHSAA it would seem.
I have talked to a couple of parents, and they hated it.
-
Another WR to watch - Logan McDowell at Cov Cath. He is like Burns, not big but very fast.
Agree, also Lee McClure.
The CovCath receiver corp will be very fast.
CovCath will most likely play 6 and 3 where members CovCath 4x100 rely team that finish 2rd in state and 4th in 4x200
-
I was recently told either is a possibility. Of course that could have been someone intentionally giving me wrong information which does happen from time to time.
We should find out for sure in 3 weeks when CovCath returns from the dead period

He is practicing and/or conditioning already? That means he has already been ruled eligible, if not ruy eligible that would be a no no.
While I was there he was standing on the sidelines
-
Bump. Any news news from Park Hills. Their own are even asking in other threads which leads me to believe it's not happening.
I happen to stop by Monday and he was there

Erpenbeck broke both the 100 and 200m CovCath records this year.
Both where set in 1976
-
Sheakley Field is their practice field but it is very nice. Nicer than most high school fields.
So is it worth playing $10-12
-
Does the state have to let them drop out? They weren't going to be able to compete with either NKY 6A district either, so why even petition to play up?
All 6A teams make the playoffs

I saw a Cov Cath schedule for all levels (Frosh, JV, Varsity) but did not see Scott on the Frosh schedule. May not mean anything but usually all teams fielding true Frosh in N Ky play each other.
Freshman are limited to 10 games and if a Freshmen championship game is played(which may not be played) have to leave that date open. So if Scott plays a freshman schedule there may not be room for them on many teams schedule.

Kid is quick - wow - according to the Cov Cath page, prior to the beginning of this season the record for the 100 was shared by three guys:
100 Meter Dash 11.04 seconds Paul Glindmeyer 1976
Matt Suedkamp 1999
Chris Resing 1999
Does Jake run in the 4x100 or 4x200 as well?
He also won the 200, 4x100 and looking at the web the 4x200 dq
-
Kid is is fast, real fast!
He broke his own record. He broke the old record set in 1976 a couple weeks ago
-
Personally I do not feel sorry for this guy, he got want he deserved.
I do agree with CWB that hangings would be the best method.

Just saw on Facebook that CovCath's Jake Erpenbeck set a new Covcath record in the 100m @ 10.92s

I do know another area that Texas/Dallas is good in is getting road work done very quickly with little to no traffic interruption per truck drivers from different companies that come to my workplace. Northern Ky/Cincinnati, the whole state of Illinois and Pittsburgh get the biggest complaints. Truck drivers hate those areas
Many of the new roads in Texas have tolls.
In fact Texas was one of the first states to use the private-public method to construct highways(tolls)

How did the Colonels first spring practice go? Understand numbers look very good.
I know the kids running track where there.
-
"So- not to interupt the "rah rah look at my teams players!" session and trying to stay on track with the OP's original intent- here is my take"
And then you proceed to list at least one CCH player in each position???
So you disagree with CovCath kids on list.
I think this is a good list of kids five months before the season starts, and IMO most people would agree with 80-90% of the names listed

This may mean something or not.
But Coach R just completed a major remodel on a house he brought about 18 months ago according to some neighbors I know.
That being said he could say he leaving would not be a total shock

I can't foresee any scenario where CovCath has a para-professional for a head basketball coach.
CovCath will require the head basketball coach to be a teacher at CovCath
-
Well I have heard that if they move, his younger son maybe held back. That could also be a motive as well. However, if they stay and hold him back CCH will be loaded in the years to come. You have a younger Thelen and the younger Ruthsatz.
If they stay he will not be held back unless he changes grade schools
-
I talked to Coach Ruthsatz about 2 months after he came to CovCath, so take the rest for what it is worth based on how long ago it was. He told me he originally had asprirations to coach in College, but that Coach Hurly councilled him, that having a healthy family life and being a D1 bball coach did not mix well. If he wanted a sense of balance in his life (if that's what you want to call coaching high school) that being a High School head coach was the path to take. That is one of the reasons he came to Covcath.
I always thought he had aspirations to be in the GCL. He feels a very devout Catholic and feels comfortable in the Catholic school system. I believe he has other sources of income, so that shouldn't be a driving force. After watching the State Tourn. this past weekend, I think moving to Ohio would be a step backwards in regards to HS basketball.
I have never discussed it again with him since, so his thoughts may have changed but that is the gist of the discussion we had a few years ago.
I hear the same comment also.

Aaron Floyd's Waiver Denied
in KY Football (High School)

Something that has not been mentioned Aarons older brother is a defensive back coach at CovCath.
So maybe one of the reasons for the transfer is a chance to play for him.
