? Whats the thought process on a decision like this? He's the varsity backup and the JV QB isn't?
CovCath dress there freshman QB's for the experience of being around the team and getting a feel for the game. During the week they practice with the freshman. In the six years Wirth has been coach I do not remember a freshman playing any at QB
-
Should have phrased it as- last year when the Cov Cath Frosh won, it was the first time beating Highlands at any level (Frosh, JV and Varsity) since 2006.
JV won in 2009
In 2012 , the game that was not decided until the end
-
I'm pretty sure this will only be game #2 for the CCH JV boys. Not sure why they didn't get games in with Boone and Dixie.
Both Boone and Dixie cancalled
-
My prediction is two words:
Small
Crowd
Also game time is 2:00
-
Did time run out or were they stopped on downs? How did the LB's and DB's look for Covcath?
time ran out
DB's did a ok job would make a couple of good plays then a bonehead play.
Bayer and Pike did a good job, not sure of the corners names
-
This was a fun game watch
Big plays by both teams
Dixie #20 is a beast of a runner.
Dixie has to many guys both way and it looked like they only had about 25 kids.
CovCath is on the small side but have a couple of really goods athletes Maher, Maile

As a person? Definitely
Noway Rottenberg is a snake

I understand the comments about the play, but I have another question........why would cch Show we have that play at that score? Now others can prepare for it........
To put on film

I don't think there is a limit in OH.
That is what I thought but was not sure.
-
Does Kentucky have a low heat index rule.
You really never hear of this being a problem in Ohio.
I saw the McNick coach talking about there up coming game this Saturday at 1:00 and there was no talk of moving or cancelling.
Last Saturday watched a high school game being played in Ala. during the afternoon.
By the way saw where the Pee Wee kids where playing at Beechwood yesterday.
-
Just checked accuweather and they are calling for t-storms at 10.
There hourly forecast also call for temps 83-84 between 1-4.
-
Holmes HS field maybe? Wasn't it the early 70s when CovCath started football?
Football started in 67 played home games at Holmes.
Sometime in the early 70's the home game was played at Beechwood and that was usually just one game.
-
Just got the email Game moved to 10
-
I have seen a local forecast for a high of only 86 on Saturday.

I was at the Covcath-Lasalle game on a Saturday at Covcath a few years ago. It was scorching hot and Covcath was getting beat pretty bad very quickly. Details are sketchy now. But, I remember they canceled the second half. I don't know if it was because of heat or the score, but they didn't offer to give the fans half their money back. I know it was a releif to Covcath fans, but I felt like I got ripped off. I came to watch my nephew play for LaSalle and only got to see a half. Play it whenever you are sure you can get in the whole game.
That game was cancelled because of the heat, and I got that from the officials themselves.
That game started early, 10:00 but it was will into the 90's before the game started.
Friday is calling for the same forecast as Saturday High about 90, so if Friday feels uncomfortable at 1:00 they will likely move it, hope not
-
But they will practice in near 90 temp this week
-
I personally like the bye week.
It gives you that week off to heal those little nicks and work on things that you can not during a game week
-
When I know something I will post it.
was not a covcath today

If I am the coach, I ask the seniors what do they think. If they say let him play, we want him back, then you absolutely welcome him back.
being a public school do they have a option not to permit the kid to play.
As posted before KHASS has done a disservice to this kid by dragging this out.
KHASS have them self to blame because they have not applied the transfer evenly in the past.
This is the second time I have been told that he will have an answer in 2 weeks
-
Helmets and shoulder pads starts 8/1 for everyone doesn't it? If the middle of next week is @8/6 and he wins the appeal I wouldn't think that would be an issue
Full pads start on 8/1.

If you're CovCath, do you take a chance on allowing the young man to play via an injunction? More importantly, my view of CovCath is that their athletics is above reproach. If they take him with the injunction, does it change your image of CovCath?
The only talk of using the courts has been here, I have heard no one at CovCath say anything about going to court to get Floyd to play. And I can not believe Bob Rowe would permit anyone to play who has not been cleared by the KHSAA
-
Did the Erpenbeck speedster make much of an impact?
Princeton corners where grabbing/hooking the CovCath receivers at the line. Almost every time a receivers got lose you see the jersey being pulled slowing the deep routes. Erpenbeck was beating the corners but was not thrown too. Princeton corners will teach the receiver to work on get off the line.

Curious if he is @ CCH practice this week pending new paperwork.
Was told he is there but not practicing, also that this is just a paper issue and he will be cleared to play sometime in early August.
I have not been told want the issue with paper work are, but he was at Cov Cath today.

I also believe Bellview received money from the NFL a few years back.
And how many of these inner city school even applied and if I heard right the money must go to field or stadium improvements
