  1. Sandlin and Judy are just Sophmores and received several interests from playing aau ball. Of course time will tell, but the opportunities are there. Letters have been sent and doors are open. I say congrats to them and good luck in their future.

Last year when Moss and Critteneden were "only sophomores" they could put up 30pts on any given night. Either one of them could take over a game at anytime. They do have D-1 qualities, and did as "only sophomores". As matter of fact, they both did as "only freshmen". What kind of numbers did these girls put up last year? My guess is neither one of them average double digits in any catagory. I don't even remember the Judy girl playing varsity last year. To say either one of these girls have D-1 talent is simply foolish right now. I will say out of the two Judy is a much better player than Sandlin from what i have seen. Walton does have some talent down there, but I did not see any D-1 talent on the floor Friday when we played WV. Sydni was probably the best player on the floor with Dixon being the second best. I still maintain that the best player you guys have by far is Dixon. Let's face it, if Dixon is not in foul trouble this is a totally different game. No one else from Walton stepped up to fill the void when Dixon was on the bench in foul trouble. And I can assure you that nowhere in coach Stowers scouting report did it say we must stop Judy and/or Sandlin in order to beat Walton. I can also assure you that the names of Dixon, Salavey, and Talubee were high concerns on SK's game plan.

  2. Sandlin and Judy from Walton, Sydney Brown from Anderson are a few others.

I would be very surprised if Sandlin and Judy are getting D-1 attention. When we played Walton friday night Sandlin is not even a starter. This must mean Walton has atleast 6 D-1 players, really? We beat Walton by 13, and they have with that many D-1 players? Dixon is by far the best player Walton has, and I was told she is going to Thomas More College with Chelsea. I will say that Judy has came a long way and did look very solid. She is a very big girl and may be the only other girl Walton has that could play above D-3 if she continues to improve. Not to knock any of the other players, just my opinion.

  3. I must admit I was very worried about this game. Wa;ton is coming off a very successful season, and has a very good team. It looked like they had the same team as last year. I was surprised to see former SK player Katey Slavey get such limited action in this game. If I remember correctly she started and play several minutes last year each time we played. Congrats SK on what I believe was a quaility win against a pretty solid Walton team.

  4. St. Henry has a very nice team led by Taylor Gamm & Abby Janzen, they will suprise a lot of people this year. As for Conner, that program needs rebuilt from the ground up. Coach Stamm has a lot of work ahead of him but I am confident in the next two years he will have it where he needs it. He inherited a program with injuries and transfers taking it's toll on the team. Good luck to both teams for the rest of the season.

  5. I felt the much more experienced guards of SK took over the game late. Once we picked up the pressure, the WV guards just could not handle it. I also thought by doing this, it completely took one of the best players in the region (Dixon WV) out of the game. Good job coach Stowers on making adjustments at half time to turn the game around. Great Job SK. :ylsuper:
