I was starting to say this was a good idea until I seen the seats. I guess we will see how many people believes my statement is ridiculous after the first night of games. Every seat is a great seat at the arena.:thumb:That is the most ridiculous statement I've read in a long time. You can see the action from the seats perfectly fine from any seat in The Arena and you don't need a radio - even though that makes no sense because the radio is going to show you who has the ball:laugh::confused::sssh:The floor seats are on risers as well and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Might as well get used to it, with the money North Laurel has made off this tournament, I don't see the vote ever getting reversed to go back to the high school gyms.:thumb:
-
If you are a B-ball fan you may try and get the seats that are left for 15$. Those are the seats down next to the floor. The 8$ and 9$ seats you may want to bring a radio to see who has the ball (LOL).:thumb:Les, I just looked at the seating chart for the tournement...Are the student seats elavated? -
I believe every game will be interesting to watch.
Corbin vs Bell Co.- Corbin will win this game, but if the refs let them play physical, this could be interesting. Bell Co. has good size and a nice inside/outside combo with Maden and Robbins.
Clay Co. vs B-ville- I will give the win to Clay, but B-ville will make them score out on the floor. Look for B-ville to pack in the 2-3 zone.
South L. vs Knox- I will give the win to South, but if Miller has one of those games Knox could go home with a win.
Harlan Co.- vs North L.- North beat them at home a few weeks ago, but Harlan Co. did not have Houge. I am going to go with Harlan Co.
-
If Madison Southern's guards are making those 3's the game with Scott Co. could be interesting.
-
The Bears pick up the win after Bell Co. beat them twice in the regular season. This was a very physical game and both teams played really hard. Good Luck to Harlan Co. and Bell Co. in the regional.
-
Corbin has South's number this season. Corbin will win by 10+.
-
Knox Central will be good next season, but Bell Co. should be loaded.
-
:thumb: When a team is playing at home in the district they are dangerous. Remember every teams record is 0-0 come district play.No way this was an upset .... are you kidding me? Knox Central was playing at home .... had a healthy Barger back and the better team won and the Panthers were the higher seed. I'm not sure how anyone can say a two seed beating a three seed at home is an upset, and I don't care if Lynn Camp beat Central by 50 points at Lynn Camp. That's some funny stuff right there. -
Who will be their toughest oppenent?
Harlan Co. should challenge Letcher Co. for the district. They return 8 or 9 starters on "D" and both RB's.
-
Is Watts getting some D-1 looks?
-
I have watched Perry Central play two or three times and they are hard to press. Looks like they made Shelby Valley play a slow down game.
-
We'll get to see first hand for at least four years. :dancingpa:lol:
Maybe:D:cool:
-
Very good game, with Whitley Co. making some big plays in the last 2 minutes. Good Luck to both teams in the district.
-
He is moving in with his father, he lives in the county district. And is probably wanting a better chance at a scholarship.
Danville is still a pretty good place to play football. They have maybe had two or three bad years in the past 15.:thumb:
-
I'll be OK if you get me a good seat.
Remember HDE, every seat in the arena is a good seat.
-
Maybe the best three in the district.....Letcher, Harlan and Perry, Clay and Whitley will be down, and North is on the move up.....
Top 2 teams in the district
1. Letcher Co- Returns most of the skill kids of last years team.
2. Harlan Co.- Returns 8 or 9 starters on "D" and both RB's.
Clay Co. and Perry Central should battle for that third spot with both teams returning key players. Perry Central needs to replace Amos @ QB. It seems like they had some young players playing other key postions on both sides of the ball. Clay Co. could be the team on the rise if they stay healthy and Hooker returns at QB.
-
Is the regional at Breathitt Co?
-
Holmes will be ready for the district and regional.
-
Corbin by 25.
Can't wait for the region to be played at The Arena.
When is the Hounds first practice session? (LOL):thumb:
-
If it does not snow and Houge plays for Harlan Co., this could be a interesting game.
I will take the Hounds by 10 if Harlan Co. is healthy.
-
Roark would be a great pick for Perry Central. With the addition of Coach Roark and his son they could be one of the best 3 teams in that region.
-
This is not good news for other 1A schools in the mountains. I will give him two or three years and he will have Pikeville back on top in 1A football in the mountains.
-
Is Pikeville rated number 2 in that region? Shelby Valley may have a cake walk to Rupp.
-
Lynn Camp has had many key players get hurt the past few years. If they can stay healthy Coach Mitchell will have them back in the 1A picture.

Knott Co. and Breathitt Co. will be a good game.
