  1. Let me get this straight Love . Just because a person is the most qualified for a job he shouldn't get it if the other applicant can figure out a way to take it from him. Do you really want the world to work that way. When you push a player going for a lay-up or pull his jersey to slow him down your telling him. I can't beat you by the rules so I'll cheat. I hope to God that life is about more than winning.Sure I enjoy winning as much as the next guy,but only if I can win within the rules. Remember some of the final phone calls that the victims of 9-11 made.I don't remember any of those being about winning.
  2. First , your kidding yourself if you think the coaches don't see these tactics. I'm talking about all coaches. When they see it and don't stop it then it's the same as encouraging it. I don't make charges against specific teams or coaches. I'm speaking in general terms. We like to kid ourselvse about how sports teaches kids all these valuable lessons about life but we can't even teach them to play fair. I'm sorry you think teaching kids to play within the rules is pukie. I guess golf is the last honorable sport.
  3. I'm not saying the Camels should'nt play the easy teams they play but Reitz had a tendency to schedule the easy ones at the start of the season instead of spacing them out a little. Just look at last years results and see all the losses towards the seasons end. A balanced schedule can give your team a confidence boost or a challenge when they need it.
  4. Its unfortunite that players have been taught that its O.K. to push or pull on an opponents jersey as long as their not caught. Like so many other instances in sports, as long as the finale result is victory its fine. Lets call an ace an ace. If a player does something he knows is againts the rules on purpose then isn't he cheating ? Stewie believes sportsmanship is a lot more than shaking hands after the game. What ever happen to playing fair. You don't get to pick and chose when your going to be a honorable person. Its called ethics and it should be practiced on and off the field of play.Come on Coaches. Its a lot more than wins and losses. My Sunday sermon is over.
  5. Stewie learned several years ago that the refs are almost always right after viewing a tape of a game I thought was poorly called. Guess what? They nailed every call and I now keep my mouth shut. Try it, and you will enjoy the game a lot more.
  6. Exhausting game for the Camels. They looked tired by the end of this one. They definitly gave it their all. Poor foul shooting and turnovers cost them this one. I think Montgomery Co knows they were lucky to get out of this one with a victory. They are a solid team and camels will improve greatly when they play more teams like them. While Reitze's easy early season scheduling makes for an attractive won loss record it seems to cost us in a game such as this. The good news is our starting five are all underclassmen and we play a team that starts three seniors down to the wire. Camels will pull off a few upsets before this season concludes.
  7. Camels may have been caught looking ahead to tomorrows game with Montgomery Co. Kudos to Harrison Co. No quit in those boys. Ben Franzen steps up again with fifteen points. He sure looks like the missing piece to the camel puzzle. They now have three juniors who can score in double digits. Matt Coffman looks like he is finding his range and his confidence so that will make it four. Coach Code seems to know how to keep his boys from imploding when the enemy closes the gap. We certanly like to see that. Now all Camels need is that one big win. Maybe Saturday night. Also, Albrecht did have sixteen tonight.
