Final
I was close on my prediction.
-
I wish I was, I have Christmas cookie baking commitments (don't ask) and will have to listen to the dulcet tones of Mr. Tim Carper tonight on 102.3.
I will be there! Spindoc bring some of those cookies to Sandy Hook plz.

As long as there are no speedo photos with the prediction!
Hard to predict these games, you have no clue what you get when you face these teams, however, on the other hand, they don't have a clue about some average looking guys in warmups either until the ball is tossed in the air.:thumb:
I promise no photos:D

I will give my Prediction on Friday before I head to the Beach.:dancingpa:dancingpa

After watching them last night I will takes Holmes by 10.

Was Riley 2-4 from 3 land?
-
Elliott 91 EC 76
-
There was at least one OVC school that told him he would have to improve his lateral quickness before they would offer a scholarship. Like I said, he looks a little quicker this season and that is going to make his stock go up. I will say that he isn't as tall as listed on the roster.
He is 6-1 3/4
-
Yeah, he's a guard. The biggest knock on him has been that he is a little short to be a forward and a little slow to be a guard at the college level. I think he has that worked out this season and will make a find 2guard in college.
I dont think his quickness is a ? mark. He is very quick off the dribble. :thumb:

Lets try this again.
-
Take Ferguson out of the lineup and Elliott is still a top 15 team, take Ethan and Evan Faulkner out and they are like many other Elliott teams to come through, talented offensively with no leadership or
All 3 players bring alot to the table. :thumb:
-
Ferguson was on fire tonight 8 from 3 land, he finished with 34. Great win for the Lions. Up 12 at half SC came out and scored the first 10. Elliott went on a big run to finish with 30 points in the 3rd led by Ferguson with 14 and 4 bombs. The 4th the twins sealed it from the line.

Definetly a changing world indeed.Whats gonna happen next? Maybe they will quit making those stickers for on another automotive symbol??
And it may be three peeing on one!!!!!

I don't really like to criticize teams too much. I love the fact that a small school like Elliott Co. is having such great success. Its good for high school basketball. But its dissapointing that they don't atleast play in a tough in-state tournament or something. Its hard to have an idea how good Elliott Co. is while playing no one in Ky who will be top 10 team more than likely. I have seen them play and they are talented. And they did have a great game against Mason Co. last year. It would just be nice to see them schedule say Franklin Co. and Bryan Station for example. I understand that most the talent will graduate and they can't have a bunch of tough games, but a couple would be nice.
That being said Beach Ball will test them.
They are trying to get Franklin Co. to play.

South Charleston beat Huntington 84-64 tonight.
From the highlights it looks like SC likes to run.
I hope they do.
This should be a track meet in Paris Saturday Night.

Once again, pretty sad that a forum can have half of its post discussing whether a player played 2, 3 or 4 quarters of a basketball game. I can remember just loving the thought of getting in the game for 5 minutes.
I agree :thumb:

Very impressive offensive display by Elliott. If Boyd tried to run with them the whole game I don't see any reason for anyone to be upset by the margin. One thing that I don't understand though: If the starters only played the 1st and 3rd quarters as many Elliott supporters have repeatedly pointed out then how did Ferguson score 41 points in 21 minutes. High school quarters are still 8 minutes aren't they? That would mean he played almost 3 quarters. I think the starters deserve more than just 2 quarters in a game but it almost seems like a slap at Boyd by saying that they were beaten that badly with only 2 quarters from the starters.
He played whole 1st q, Ferg and
Evan played 4 minutes in the 2nd q
and he played the whole 3rd q
The starters played together the whole 1st q and 3 q

By the way, that Number 0 for Elliott that played Guard in the JV game is going to be a special player too if he can get a bit more size on him. What grade is he in?
10th
He will be the PG next year.
I hate to say it but I dont see him getting much bigger.
-
This should be a good test for the Lions.
South Charleston will be long and Athletic but I look for the Lions to win by 14.
-
This was Elliott's best game shooting the ball so far. There defense is still not there yet but it will be soon. Ferguson put on show in the 1st half he had 27 points on 5-7 from 3 land. The Twins played there usual steady game and T. Knipp played good for a second stright game. C. Knipp played pretty good to. I look forward to the game on Saturday vs South Charleston.:dancingpa

Ferguson is a nice ball player but a lot of things are factored.
Level of competition being one of the biggest...
Hood will win in a land slide. He is by far the best Kentucky has to offer. He sees double and triple teams every night and still manages to put up 28 a game.
Everybody knows that Hood is going to win Mr. Basketball.
You can throw level of Comp out the Window it would be different if Ferguson was scoring 15 points a game in the 16th Region but he is scoring 25 to 30 points a game every game.

Yikes!
My question is how many Ferguson had?
41 pts in 21 minutes
Holmes 74 Bryan Station 56
in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Posted
I would think this puts Holmes at the Top.
I hope they dont lose before post season.
