Here we go Steelers here we go:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa

The Charger's defense has left a lot to be desired on those last two drives.
Or the Steelers offense get some credit

21-10 Good guys
Big drive to start the half
-
14-10 Good guys at the Half

Did they call hand checking and reaching in? Difficult not to call when you continuously do that!
The called the Fouls 50 feet from the basket and then you get hammered underneath with a no call.
The Russell game was the same way. Kevin Hendrickson did the Russell/Elliott game and was terrible as usual.
-
Statement game for lewis. The lions will win this one in a barn burner with or without the EC starters in.
Are you serious?
-
Whatever. EC is 3-7. Rowan could have beaten them by 50 if they wanted to. They were in foul trouble cause they haven't a clue how to guard anybody.
Elliott has played a a bunch of tough teams is why they are 3-7. Rowan is very good but not 50 better then Elliott. Elliott will be battle tested when it comes tourney time.

Brockman 14, Riddle 12. 3 more with 9, 2 with 8. Was 65-30 when the feeshmen and sophs went in in the 3rd. 38-18 at the half.
Ferguson 22, Griffith 20...most after the starters left the game, but they are still good players.
Hard to score when your in foul trouble. 3 Starters with 2 fouls in 1st q.
K. Ferguson had 4 in the 1st half and 2 other starters had 3
Talk about your homw cooking

96 Free Throws are you serious?

Great game, close the whole way. I think West Carter just got a little fatigued down the stretch. Great officiated game and Elliott finished well with free throws.
I dont believe the game was officiated well at all.
Kevin Hendrickson should have been in the JV game. Joe Coldiron has not had a good year with the whistle. Roy Wright just goes with the flow.
I hope that these games are assigned before the year starts because Ashland/ Spring Valley had 2 of the better offiacials doing that game and Joe Billman was in Rowan doing the Rowan/ Tates Creek girls game. Bobby Hall was doing the East/ Russell game

Ferg is not 6'2, I stood beside him last night after the game and he is pushing 6'0 and that is with shoes on. If he playes the 2 in college he may want to learn how to dribble with his head up. Noticed something last night that I have not noticed with him before. He is comfortable going North and South, but only takes 2 maybe 3 dribbles at the max left or right and they are always with his head down looking at the ball. It's so hard to pick up because 95% of the time you see the kid playing North and South.
I am 6-2 and stood beside him numerous times and you cant tell a difference.
-
Elliott by 37! Dominance of the 16th will be shown tonight!!!!
-
I think Ferg will get a free education somewhere. There will be a school that will be a good fit for him. I personally know him and he is a fine young man!

I wouldn't be so sure about that. :sssh: Two of the three teams were willing to come to Sandy Hook this year but wanted a return game NEXT YEAR in nky which is why they said "No thanks. It wouldn't benefit our program to come up there next year." The other team who tried getting a game with EC was trying to get it on a neutral court in a showcase at the end of Jan. but wanted a return game in nky the following year but EC, again, declined because of he return game in nky.
I have a relative who coaches here in NKY (some know who), and I'm pretty confident with my information.
I beleive you.
If I was the coach I wouldnt go back up there next year either.:sssh:

Anyone that saw them at Marshall County will attest ... they looked nothing like a national top-30 team. You can watch the video of that game, if you wish.
That's the problem with national rankings ... just because a team has some recruits, someone thinks they should be nationally ranked. Wheeler's record so far doesn't sell it very well.
I watched them at the Beach and the folks down there said they were 1 of the best teams in the country. There only loss at the Beach was to the 4th team in the Nation St. Patrick without there 2nd best player Richard Howell who is going to NC State. They have lost some games to some very good teams.
-
It's a two way street there chief. I don't see Coach Henley's phone ringing off the hook trying to get a game with them. Only teams I heard of EC trying to get to fill the void are Franklin Co. and Manual.
BTW, a few NKY coaches already TRIED getting a game with EC only to be told "No thanks." :sssh:
I bet those NKY coaches werent willing to come to Sandy Hook?:sssh:

Do you really put much stock in national rankings?
I saw Wheeler at the Marshall County Hoopfest ... they ain't the 26th best team in the country.
Just becuase you seen them play they are not the 26th best team in the nation?
They have 2 kids going to the ACC and 1 more that will sign D1 but you seen them play and they are not the 26th best team in the Nation.
Well guess what I seen them play 3 times and they are better then 26th in the Nation.:sssh:

Pickering played three games at the Beach Ball Classic, going 1-2 ...
They lost to 74-68 to Wheeler (GA)
They beat Mann (SC) 69-56
They lost 77-68 to Elliott County
If you take those scores and compare them to the CalPreps rating for each team, Pickering comes out to be about a 24.7 ... right there with Corbin. Not quite top-10, but not bad, either.
Sounds like a reasonable assessment to me.
Wheeler is ranked 26th in the Nation.
Ceder Hill is ranked 38th in the nation.
-
Very well said. I think that Southside team that Elliott beat in Myrtle Beach would be top 5 in Kentucky and Pickering wouldn't be far behind.
Ceder Hill, Texas would be #1 in KY
-
I still can't see Elliot in front of Scott County.
That doesnt surprise me coming from you.

How could the top 5 be picked out of hat when Holmes has beaten 2 of those top 5 teams???
Let's see...
3-1 vs top 10
W's- #3 Scott Co, #4 Bryan Station (both #1 at the time), #8 Ballard
Avenged their only loss with an 18 point win over Station ON STATION'S HOME FLOOR
Combined 5-1 against the 7th and 11th regions
W's- Scott Co, Bryan Station, Tates Creek, Ballard, Seneca
12-1 record
I think Holmes has more than proved themselves the best team in the state. If not for an early season let down in the second game of the year, we'd be talking about Holmes being undefeated right now.
2-3-4 could be picked out of a hat but IMO no way you can rank any of the other teams above Holmes when looking at their resume. Scott Co and Holmes are the only two teams to even play top 5 competition and that's because they played eachother. Until someone knocks off Holmes, IMO they are the #1 team in the state regardless of what the silly computer systems say.
EC is no doubt a top 3 team in the state, but IMO the only reason they're even ranked #1 in Cantrall's, Maxpreps, and Calpreps is because of their margin of victory over lesser opponents. That's not a knock on them at all as they are clearly as good as advertised and can't help the fact that their region is down. I ask you this though; Would EC have the same record playing Holmes, Scott Co, or J'town's schedule? Think about that and you'll realize why Holmes is (AT THIS POINT) the clear #1.
Nobody knows if they would have the same record or not. They might have a better record.:sssh:

Will the 3 highest rated teams be from the 14th, 15th, and 16th regions?
I would say top 4 will be.
