  1. Elliott - 89

    Menifee - 76

    I believe these teams play similar styles of up-tempo ball. It may end up with both teams scoring well over 100. I'm not quite sure on how Menifee will perform. The team is coming off a rough weekend with one of their Seniors losing his father to cancer. Hopefully they can pull up their spirits and play hard for Mr. Lawson.

    Menifee will not score 76 points vs Elliott

    If they try to run and gun this game will be over in a hurry.

  2. I'm usually an AFC guy but not this year. I hate everything to do with the Steelers. I didn't start hating them until they hurt Carson. I hate them with a passion. The Steelers try to intimadate people. I'm anxious to see how the Cards will react to this. Bolden and Fritz will be the 2 toughest receivers Pitt has faced all year long at the same time. I'm waiting to see how Grimm and Wisenhunt will do against Leau's defense since they faced it every day in practice.

    LOL

  3. Every team is to designate one speaking captain to address the referee's, not several.

    Only one player per team may address the referee's during game play - per KHSAA rules.

    So, let me ask you EC fans... who is your speaking Captain?

    Boy you are Reaching.

    Speaking Capt for Elliott is Ethan I think or maybe Evan I think awww I cant tell them apart so Im not sure who the Speaking Capt is.

    :D:D

  4. This thread is ridiculous. If Fleming had canceled against Lewis Co., or anything other school in the state, other than Elliott Co. would there be a 2-page post about it? Absolutely not!

    The decision to cancel was probably a mixture of opinions from the AD and Coach - along with direction from the Transportation Director, and Superintendent.

    No matter the reason for canceling, whether it was weather-based or avoidance-based, the two teams surely have a game contract. Fleming will most likely have to pay a cancellation fee, or reschedule the game.

    Regardless of the outcome I think it is absolutely pathetic to scrutinize the basketball players for attending the Mason County game. As previously stated, the students have no say on whether or not they play. They merely follow direction. Since their game was canceled they made good use of their Friday night and went to see a nearby game... with their friends and/or girlfriends. Is it really any of our business what these teenage boys do with their "free" time away from basketball? I for one am glad that they were at a basketball game, as opposed to the other horrible things they could be doing.

    AND - if the game were canceled due to direction from the Central Office, wouldn't it be an effective use of the FC Coaching Staff's time to go and see the Mason game? That is, assuming they were even at the game... seems to me no one can be certain of that or not.

    To sum it up - this is silliness. Games get canceled all of the time - for numerous reasons. Elliott County shouldn't let their ego get ahead of their manners. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but his over-confidence lead him across the street.

    If this thread is so silly then why do you have the longest post on the thread!!

    :p

  5. Chargers had a decent first half, but had the coverage breakdown on the punt, too many offensive penalties, and let Big Ben make the long throw to set up the TD juust before the half.

    3rd quarter, defense allows the long drive for the TD coming out of the locker room, they get the long return from Sproles, and then on the first play, give up the tipped ball and the non-interception. Huge. Then force the punt, only to have it bounce off the guys head. At that point, you know the football gods aint with you.

    By the time its 28-10, you are in hurry up offensive mode. I thought Rivers had a nice fourth quarter, but San Diego had no pass rush and gave too much on the run. All in all, I still think they handled a ferocious pass rush reasonably well.

    In the offseason, they need a blue chip right tackle, and at least 2-3 more playmakers at linebacker and defensive line. Getting Merriman back should help, too.

    :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Non Interception? Were you watching the same game as me because Larry Foote caught it and the Steelers got the ball.

  6. 24 points on the road at Pittsburg?

    63-yard kickoff return of Sproles?

    Sproles with 5 kickoff returns for 164 yards

    1/1 FG's

    Rivers 21/35 308 yards 3 TD's 1 INT

    I'd say the offense and special teams were just fine.

    :irked::rolleyes:

    Up 7-0 give up 68 yard punt return TD

    Still in the game and the punt hits off your helmet and you give them the ball at the 23 = Ballgame
