Elliott's guards can certainly do that to you. When I saw Rose Hill play I thought their guards were more than good enough for them to win. Like you said not necessary against Elliott but certainly against the rest of the region. For the record my rankings are: 1. Elliott 2. West 3. Rose Hill 4. East 5. Fairview 16. Boyd

I believe I know where your going. I too think this is part of the problem but I remember plenty of my buddies who wanted Mike Flynn gone. I thought that was a mistake then and I still think it was a mistake. Well it goes without saying that there are more problems than I thought. Whats the solution?

Absolutely not. My question was centered around these to programs because they were the standard by which others were measured. Boyd has been down for many years and Ashland is heading down the same road, IMHO.

Yes. It was early in the year and anyone will tell you that Rose Hill has improved quit abit since then. Plus if my memory serves me correctly I believe Rose Hill played that game without Terry and with an injured Kennedy. If you think Fairview has to have a bad night to lose to Rose Hill then you are sadly mistaken.

Not leading anywhere just wondering because playing and dressing are to completely different issues.

You certainly have a valid arguement with East and West but I don't think that Fairview is better than Rose Hill. Plus I would have to put Fairview and Ashland right together given the point differential in their games.

Really do you think that East has a better resume at this point than Rose Hill? East has 3 less wins and 4 out of their 9 wins are against Rowan, Fleming, Boyd, and Russell. Not exactly murders row. I will give them quality wins against West and Morgan. I'm just saying that it's not like East has beaten anybody either.

So you think height differential on the coaching staff is the issue? Let me ask this, how much of the blame should be place on parents? Are this generation babied too much? Just asking.

And the combined record for East's victims is 73-89. Four of their wins are over the bottom 4 teams in Don's rankings.

Spindoc, that doesn't seem to matter. The only thing that matters to most is how closely or not someone played Elliott.

That is excess use of the puke guy. You must feel pretty strongly about the situation. When you say "things" are you refering to circumstances or people?

Does Biggs have any influence over the feeder system or is it still ran by Rannie Cooper? I know a parent told me that this year they had a tournament after only a handful of practices.

So Biggs supports it, the AD supports it, so who is the heirarchy? And why is anyone other than the head coach or AD making these decisions? I think that maybe the problem. I mentioned earlier about the outside influences that are controlling Ashland's basketball program, trublu disagreed. I respect trublu and his post seem to be sincere but I have to tell you that I think outside influences have lead Ashland to it's current state. Apparently, as Boyd Co supporters have said, the say can be said for Boyd Co.

Boyd continues to solidify their position in the region. Unbelievable.

I'm sorry guys I'm just not that familiar with the situation at Boyd but I do remember them being a force in the 80's and 90's and to have fallen on such hard times is almost unbelievable.

That's a step in the right direction but the kids are still isolated from other good teams. I think this makes them think they are better than they are and when they get to middle school reality sets in. Who is over the grade school league? Is it ran by the school system?

I wasn't aware that there was a change in the grade school system. I know that for years the grade schools in Ashland were only allowed to schedule each other except for a couple of tournaments.

So it most likely isn't Biggs and ZB23 said that the AD was supportive. So who is laying the law down on Blazer Blvd.?

Now that is funny. Who is starting for BC?

I'm not there but I would venture to guess that the team that is down by 33 at the half isn't playing very well.:idunno:

I guess doing what is best for the kids isn't a priority. Once again I have to ask is this coming from Biggs or high up the ladder?
