I would imagine Andre McClendon would be the favorite to replace him.

Jordan Green from Henry Clay is at #143

It's NewCath. They will survive and live off tradition. It's amazing what kids can do when they believe in the system and the school. They will be just fine. A lot of schools with great tradition actually overachieve on down years, it just goes unnoticed because of that tradition.

I believe he teaches at Holmes Middle School, coaches with Highlands

I can think of a few young guys who might be interested, IMO. Names like Bowman or Blevins who are looking for a HC start.
Both would be solid choices. Others may disagree, but I think the Walton job has a lot of potential if given a resonable amount of time to turn it around.

I am out of town and didnt see the game. What rule did he question?
Horn went off as player shot a foul shot. Player missed and was given a "redo" attempt.

I heard tonight that Hatton will not be back next year. And he is by far the best player Dixie has.
Dixie would not beat Holmes, CovCath or NewCath next year even with Hatton.
I'll bite. Where will he be?

I believe St. Henry was winning at half in their first meeting, for what its worth.

It would take another school to step up and hold the JV tournament. The problem is, Cov. Cath is the only all-male school in the NKY area. All other schools have to split gym time between the boys and girls teams. Not to mention, the JV teams have to work around varsity schedules that vary from school to school. In order to work better (in my opinion), I think the tournament would have to be held on 4 consecutive Sundays which would most likely not sit right with religious folks and coaches to enjoy a breath of fresh air during the season.

Players must go through tryouts first. I believe 75 players are invited to try out for Team Kentucky, while Indiana uses the media to hand pick the players to their team.

This may be off topic, but it has come up during other BGP conversations so I'm going to revisit an idea -- if it belongs on a separate thread, I understand. So here goes: last year, some of us may remember James "Beetle" Bolden suddenly and unexpectedly getting shut down during a frosh tournament game in which he typically would have dominated. He had been playing and practicing the entire season with the freshman, JV, and varsity teams and there was some speculation that he finally hit the wall. This year, four of the five Holmes freshmen starters have been doing the same -- as has already been noted earlier on this or a related thread, the Holmes-CCH frosh game was rescheduled for 8:00 PM specifically because Arnold, Moore, Green, and Brolley were playing that night at 6:00 PM in a JV tournament game. If we assume that these kids also keep up with their studies, maybe they simply reached mental and physical overload.
I'm not a pediatrician or a psychologist, plus I do not know precisely which schools pursue which policy, but more than one BGP contributor has already questioned whether frosh who play up should, well, simply play up rather than also playing frosh ball all season. I don't have a solid opinion, but given the collective wisdom on this site I am eager to see if this merits discussion.
Yeah, it really has seemed to effect James Boldens development

I have heard draft experts call him the best prospect in 20 years. That is very high praise and I too believe he should sit out.

Having Maus back makes a huge difference, especially when playing against a kid like Campbell
-
I think Campbell is capable of winning this one by a large margin, but these two usually duke it out. I'll take the Camels by 9.
-
What do you expect these two teams to do differently from the first time they played in the All "A"?
-
Sophomore Evan Long led Trimble with 23 pts.
Morgan had 31 points for Gallatin.
Morgan can flat out score. I love his offensive game and the way he attacks the basket.
-
How did Holy Cross hit so many 3's? Did Highlands sit in a zone to pack it in on Campbell?
-
Scott and Bishop Brossart still need to play for the #1 seed. I believe the Campbell is #3 already.
-
So is the Regional draw on Sunday, then the games start Monday?? Seems like they should give teams more time to prepare. The teams in Mondays games get only a Sunday night practice to prepare for their biggest game of the season!

Justin Saunders (Brossart) should be on that list.
I agree. I accidentally left him off. Is the kid at Grant Co. a senior?
-
Off the top my head, I would put Tony Campbell (Holy Cross) #1, with Nick Jackson (Scott) #2. The rest are about even in my book and can "go off" on any given night. Chris Englemon (Holmes), Drew Mays (Ryle), Mason Monroe (Pendleton Co.), Short (Newport), Daquan Palmer (Holmes), Bueter (NCC), Siebert (NCC), Louis Maniacci (Cooper), Sampson (Simon Kenton). I would put Nate McGovney (Campbell Co.) in the top 3 previous to his injury, but I have not seen him play since. And yes, I know I put more than 10 players but all are worthy of consideration.

Did Maus play for Beechwood? He is their best player and if he was out, I can see why they struggled so bad.
-
Boone has the best player (Stanley) but St. Henry is more balanced. I say St. Henry by 8.
Erik Goetz Leaves Holy Cross

Could you provide more details about him, please?
