Talked to one of their fans on a web board and he said that they were building a new HS / field, but it was a year or so away from completion, and I guess played all of their games on the road?Never a doubt in this one.Congrats on the win.
In all of the years I have traveled to Pike County, Phelps has only had one solid team(7-3) and that was my first year going there.
I believe their numbers were better back then to.

McPeek, the kid, is indeed in class at Ashland today.
I'd say this is just through the end of the school year. I'll bet he'll be on the move again after school is out.

Like Race, Mf will be at home throughout the playoffs, the only game we will play away from our large and beautiful War Memorial Stadium will be if we win out and pack it up for BG.
In your opinion, who do you expect to face in the regional finals?

Word on the street is he enrolled at Ashland today.

Raceland has an edge over Pikeville in the defensive area. I think that is the difference between these two teams.
-
That's the thing, our players are always courteous and ask the opposing team for their preference.
Don't you think saying you "waffled" someone sounds better than a pancake? Plus you could use the "Huddle" House as a sponsor because it sounds more footballish. Just sayin'...

They probably need to watch "Rudy" and then I think I'd just forfeit and take a one-point loss.Boyd is most probably watching the WC film and sayin..."Highlands is beatable, we can do what WC did"or did they show the kids the Elder tape and say "OMG, we have no chance"
Good luck to all :thumb:

One of the classiest people I have ever had the honor of being associated with. As good of a coach as he is, he's an even better person.November 3, 2013Raceland football honors assistant
Kyle Hobstetter
RACELAND — Before Friday night’s football game between Raceland and Ironton, Raceland assistant coach Mark Lewis was honored for his 41 years of coaching high school football. Along with being an assistant at Raceland, he spent 33 years as an assistant at Ironton.
While fans from both sides gave Lewis a standing ovation, Rams coach T.J. Maynard said he was scared Lewis would get back at him because he doesn’t like the attention.
“I didn’t know if I was going to get punched or not,” Maynard laughed. “Coach Lewis has been a great asset to our staff. He’s been a great asset for me, and a wealth of knowledge, so it’s really nice as a head coach to bounce ideas off of him and get his input. I respect what he has to say.

Kane IHOPed #8 after Nevan asked him what kind of syrup he wanted on his pancake...lol.Pancake that propelled a Raceland Touchdown. Raceland's Neven Johnson #65 with the Pancake, running back Cain Snyer #31 with the touchdown.

Well I guess I was thinking because they held Ashland to seven points, that they would be able to keep Pikeville in the 28-35 point range.I think many got the wrong the impression of Russell with the schedule they were playing. They lost to all the good teams and beat the not so good. -
Another Saturday game? Geez...this is the 4th one. Ruining my social life...lol.

McPeek has went as far as to say that he didn't know the player was ineligible. Are you kidding? They act like this kid came from Mars when in fact he came from a neighboring school district.
Well in all honesty, anyone who truly believes that the people in charge REALLY didn't know this kid wasn't eligible are walking around blind without a cane. They (people in charge) are now just using spin control to save some face.

Looks to me like Pikeville came out the winner of the Fairview fiasco and has the easiest road to the Regional final.

Didn't think they'd hang 56 on the Devils.

Raceland tough task for Ironton

The Ironton Fighting Tigers need a win Friday. It won’t be easy. Ironton is 3-6 and must win in order to qualify for the Division V postseason playoffs. The Fighting Tigers visit the Raceland Rams who are worth 32 points.
The fact the Rams are worth a lot of points is a good thing, but the reason they are worth a lot of points is because they are a good team.
“They have some really good skilled kids. It’s not just one or two players,” said Ironton coach Mark Vass. “They have some good size and they are an experienced team. It’ll be a challenge for our kids.”

Hey, don't blame inquiring minds for wanting to know.
LOL...I don't. It was just for show tonight because WSAZ was there. really a lot of misinformation with Musick saying he hadn't asked for resignations, yet confirming they had resigned, and then Coach saying he was asked to resign. Someone isn't exactly telling the truth. Why would you resign if you are innocent?

Nothing will happen until the KHSAA makes a statement regarding their findings. I don't know why people thought something significant was going to happen.
