  1. I meant five game winners in Harville's career. Sorry for that misstatement. All I was trying to say is that for a small player (5'11" 155lbs or so) that scored 1142 career points, lead the whole state in made threes (89) and made threes per game (3.56) when noone else averaged more than 3 made threes a game, averaged 17 points a game you never hear much about him. I know Coach Hicks at Scott County loves him. Tyler made 6-6 shots for 16 points aganst Scott County as a sophmore when they upset them 55-51. He had 23 points and 7 assists in the loss to Scott County this year with Richardson and Gilbert taking turns guarding him. He made 8-11 threes in the first game versus Catholic this year. So he does it againstnst some good competition too. He shot 82% for his career at the line and made 38 in a row during his sophomore year. Like all players he has his faults and needs to improve in some areas.....but not many kids do all of the above with less fanfare. That was the only point I was really trying to make.
  2. Led the region in turnovers? That can hurt a kid when you make incorrect statements like that. Totally false. He was in the top 5 in assists though. He will play at the next level. multiple D and D3 offers plus one really good prep school in Vermont after him. Just needs to add 15 lbs of solid muscle. Did you get to see any of his 5 game winners this year? Not a more clutch player in the region.
  3. When people mention LCA why don't they ever know about Tyler Harville? Their senior guard this year led the whole state in made threes (89), made threes per game (3.4) and shot 42% from 3. Plus averaged 17 points a game. Score over 20 points 15 times. Finished his career with 1142 points and 226 three pointers, tying Taylor Barnette for the school record on made threes for a career.
  4. Tyler Harville - LCA. Led the whole state in made threes (89) and made threes per game (3.4) and made 42% of them. Averaged 17 points a game. Every coach in the 43rd district game planned for him.
  5. No one? 44 views and no one has seen him? I was hoping someone could tell me more about him
  6. Anyone seen this young man play for LCA? He has now made 73 three pointers and makes 3.5 a game. Both now lead the state. I saw him Friday night against Scott County score 23 points and have 5 assists. Coach Hicks says he always kills them. Then I saw him Saturday night against Franklin County. Had 27 points, 6 assists, 3 steals, 3 rebounds and only 3 turnovers. His range looks to be close to 30 feet. He was facing box and one most of that night. I know quite a few small schools are looking at him. Just surprised I haven't more talk about him. Averages 18 a game and leads the whole state in 3 point shooting.
  7. This was a great game. Too bad it was so late that most people didn't get to see it. Harville put on another shooting clinic. He had 6 three pointers. Made 21 in the last 3 games. Sophomore Matt Ross played great as well.
  8. Dunbar's guards will turn it over way too often. Scott County by 10 to 12 points
  9. LCA isn't as down as you might think. The Catholic game is the first game they had all of their players in tact. Tyler Harville took over point guard that game as well. Hit 8-11 from 3 point range. Had Coach Salsman going nuts.
  10. Thanks for the box score Gold Sunrise. its a shame no one saw that game. Not often you see a kid hit 8-11 from three point range especially agianst a team coached by Salsman who was trying everything to keep it frm happening. LCA had no answer for the big guy though.
  11. Anyone see this game last Friday? Catholic won by 2. Great shootout between Jack Whitman from Catholic who had 27 points and Harville from LCA who shot 8-11 from three point range. Had 24 points.
  12. Did you watch any of the LCA vs Rowan game? Tyler Harville had 35 for LCA. Seventeen at half and 18 in second half. He was hitting some bombs. Rowan played several junk defenses on him. He wasn't able to quite pull it out though.
  13. LCA won all four games at the Catholic camp. Play in the state tournament at KBA Thursday at 6:20 vs Rowan, Friday at 11:20 vs Whitley and 3:20 vs Henry Clay
  14. Anyone watched the point guard for LCA? Name is Tyler Harville. Averages 18 pts a game this year (junior). Averaged almost 13 last year as a sophmore. Unlimited range. Great free throw shooter. Shot over 90% last year at the line (at one point made 38 in a row) and has made 21-24 this year thru first 5 games. Went head to head the other night against Mike Smith of Dunbar. Tyler had 24 points (6-7 from three point range), twelve in the fourth quarter to help them win from behind. Great guard combo with Taylor Barnette who had 25 points in that game.
  15. Are there any members in here from Lexington? I rarely see comments about any of the Lexington teams or players.......
