  1. Great win for the Jackets! Hope this win gives the momentum the Jackets need to do well in the All "A" next week and be back to back champions. Would love to see the Jackets going to Richmond again!!!!
  2. You are right, fan44...one game does not make the season. W'burg has a much better team than Pineville. No offensive rebounding, bad passes, and rushing their shots hurt W'burg. W'burg plays Jellico tonight, looking forward to seeing how the Jackets play agiant them. The Jackets also play tomorrow at Whitley against Raceland. The Jackets need to win these two games and play well, so they can give the Colonels a run for their money on Tuesday.
  3. Williamsburg played Middlesboro in the Pan-O-Rama last night and looked good. Middlesboro couldn't keep up. Jones and Payne still trying to work out the football in them, but in a couple of a weeks Williamsburg should all be in sync and be tough to beat. People have been playing Williamsburg down this year, but I believe once the season gets underway, people will be singing a different tune.
  4. Hoffman is playing this year. I look for W'burg to be very successufl this year.
  5. Jared Barton has not been at Corbin since the 5th grade. So, we don't think of him as the transfer from Corbin anymore, he is a Jacket and he will graduate as a Jacket. Jared has decided it is time to concentrate on baseball and football. Will he play basketball anymore? That will be up to him and we support him with that decision.
  6. No,Jared Barton did not play, nor will he play based on his own decision since he has told us that he has not learned anything and that his God given talent and ability does not earn him playing time. It is a sad fact the politics is not only prevelant in our community, but apparently it reaches into some of our sports programs. No child, regardless of who they are should be touched by politics. It has no place in our school systems. When it becomes obvious to an 8th grader, we should all open our eyes. I wish good luck to the Jackets and hope the boys keep their heads up. They have talent, however, they need direction.
  7. Well, Coach Robinson sarted the 8th grader against burgin. Was that a smart move? I think it was i mean he had 11 points and only 2 turn overs. came up with a big 3 in the finals min. to cu down on the burgin bulldogs. I think this kid has great potental to be a good young player and help contribute to the jackets. The closest game the jackets hav played this year is when barton has started..Whats your guys opimion?
