All In---you obviously didn't see the last 5-6 games Deming played prior to District, talent other than the Kings exists at Deming. -

KY Thorobred you seem to have all the answers. Harrison Cty cheering section did a very nice job. I hope they are that supportive at every game, girls and boys and not just at district. Congrats to the Breds on their win. There were some poor calls in the last quarter, but all in all not enough of Deming's players showed up to play. During the last 2 minutes things fell apart for them, teamwork and coaching went down the drain as usual. For the past several years Deming has had the potential to win the district but can't pull it off and everyone knows why. Congrats to Grause and Mitchell from Deming, I believe I heard someone say they thought they were the only 2 players to go to Region 4 years in a row, too bad they couldn't go as district champs. -
Congrats to Garth Grause for his great finish at tonight's game (about time!) And as always when Mitchell is hitting the "3"s it gives the team and crowd momentum. It made for a great "Senior Night". The devils played good defense, but missed too many easy shots. Cooper was impressive for a first year school, in a couple of years, they might make some noise.

It's funny how some people try to put words in your mouth. Who said anything about not wanting the King Twins. I never even referred to the "twins" Your comment must be directed toward someone who has made a comment in that nature. But since you brought it up. I think everyone knows why they play for Deming and not somewhere else. -

I didn't realize I was "ripping" players or the coaching staff apart and I don't have all the answers. I am stating a FACT. You can ask the majority of fans in the stands and they would agree. I'm not shorting any player either. Kyle King is a good player and yes he's one guy that I would want to have the ball in a crucial situation. Is he the only one? NO. He gets the ball and drives to the basket time after time after time. Yes he scores alot of points each game, but he misses/turns the ball over quite a few times as well. He seldom looks for an open man, even when 3 defenders are on him. He never runs the plays. Not sure if he can't remember them or just has scoring as his main goal. Why practice plays every day and not run them? Do you see how this would make other team members feel. It is also evident to fans. The devils do their best when all players are involved. For years Deming has concentrated on a few players hoping they will carry them to win. Is it any big surprise that it doesn't work out that way. -

Not sure you should compare King to Flanagan or talk of earning respect, not to take away from Calvary Christian, they played their hearts out, BUT King did attempt to duplicate his game last night, just as he has every game. The majority of the crowd and teammates can easily see this, why does Coach Johnson continue to allow ME BALL. Who knows when Deming will get an opportunity like they had last night again. If someone doesn't open their eyes and do something about this, district will be no different. -

I'm curious Butterfly about what you think the outcome would be if these coaches did switch.?? -

Close game that shouldn't have been. I have got to give Coach Hinson alot of credit, he gets the most out of what he's got. Deming still can't put a solid game together . Big controversy at the end, a few redfaced coaches after the final horn. Big excitement in the little town of Mt.Olivet. -

This problem just didn't happen with Deming. I have always heard you reap what you sow. Now coach Johnson is reaping what he has sown. The seed of discontent was sown four years ago. When you push certain players over kids who are just as capable at the time you can't expect any better results! This is coach Johnson's problem now, so I say reap it. -
Deming does need to play more team ball, but that ship already sailed. A big problem they have is no defense. You can have players scoring double digits in every game, but it doesn't matter if there's no defense

I think that moving the tournament around isn't a bad idea if the travel route has good roads, if you are coming from nky to the fieldhouse it is a strait shot down the AA. If you come from Montgomery Co its just down 11. You will never satisfy everybody! I drove from Mt.Olivet last night most of the way it was all backroads but that's Mt.Olivet for you. I think the fieldhouse is better for me travel wise. But I was just happy to be there not the outcome!

Pr. lets be honest . Will anybody get set for a shot against M.C.. I haven't seen them play this year but I hear their defense is relentless. As for the Mitchell kid shooting like that night in and night out, I think he is a streaky shooter but if he gets hot, look out.
