Colin Justice from Dixie to Beechwood?
toolman replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
Explain to me why this young man would change schools his senior year when he has started both ways for the last 2 seasons? He is leaving all of his friends he has been going to school with since his freshman year for a better education and more scholarship opportunities. You are only kidding yourself if you believe this! Every school provides an excellent education. The parents and students get what they want from their child's education not matter what school he attends. That's a fact! -
So you opinion is worth a coke and a bag of chips?

Congrats to new Dixie Coach Dave Brossart

Highlands has both, talent and tradition! -

Dave is a very knowledgable coach. He works hard. But, in the end, is all about having talent to compete. All programs have off season programs to increase players strength, speed, toughness, etc. Players win games not coaches. Highlands success can be matched by no other program in N. Ky. Why? Because because it has more tradition and success than any other program (dating back to the 60's). Lots of programs have tried to use their blue print for success but it is just a different animal. Other programs have tradition as well but not like Highlands. Dave will success at Dixie if he has the talent to compete. You can believe it or not but Dixie has to compete with Beechwood, CovCath, Scott, SK, Holy Cross, Lloyd and yes Highlands for players. The proof is there. -
Who will be the next Coach at Dixie?
toolman replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think the Guru should apply? -
Is Mayfield containing Vocke and Nussbaum?
-
No!

Not sure on the requirements but Cohorn was the qb when Pike was out and Hatton did not finish the season with the team. Seems silly to give him a letter. I am sure he has one for basketball.

So this is the proper forum?

Will Marksberry get ran out of Independence.

Maybe Spartan79 should apply! How many of those wins came in the last 3 years? Probably close to half? That would indicate to me that he is improving, right? -

Uk#1Fan-Coach Marksberry only has a 1-year contract (like all coaches in all sports in Kenton Co.). Since you got all the answers maybe you should apply for his position. Fire a guy with the success he has had the last three years, you don't have a clue. -
This is absolutely ridiculous! Guru-I believe you have overstepped your boundaries. I know you know Coach Spritzky personally, why don't you call him and find out for yourself. In addition, Muggawg-if you were at the game and if you paid any attention to the game, you would have noticed Coach Spritzky calling the offense. Dixie gets a much needed win and some people still want to stir the pot. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Will This Be Tom Spritzky's Last Season?
toolman replied to Clyde's topic in KY Football (High School)
I believe he has given to the football program as well. Prior to him taking over this program, Dixie hadn't beaten CovCath or Highlands in over twenty years. Dixie beat Highlands in 2002 and has beaten CovCath several times in his tenure. This year's team has been decimated by Injuries particularly Seth Bruns and Colin Justice. Don't forget his team's victory over Trinity in 2004. And please don't say everybody gets lucky once in a while. How many former or current head coaches in N.Ky have ever beaten Trinity. I say let the man make the decision that is best for him, the program, and his family. -
Raiderbird you may want to watch the film before you sprint home to post on bgp.
