Derek Willis, a junior forward who has already committed to play at the University of Kentucky, scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to help Bullitt East rally for a 49-39 victory against Butler in the semifinals of the 6th Region boys' tournament at Bellarmine University.

The Chargers (26-4) fell behind by 14 after the first quarter before recovering to take the lead in the third.

Willis struggled from the field (3-for-15) but was 9-for-9 from the free-throw line. He also had three blocked shots.

Rusty Troutman added 16 points and nine rebounds for Bullitt East. Jalen Palm scored 14 points, including four three-pointers, for the Bears (19-11).
