Trailing 14-10 at the half the Birds drilled 5 treys in the 3rd qtr. Witte had a pair and Sam Lewis had a huge second half dropping in 4 from behind the arc. Birds were led by workhorse Patrick Towles with 16 points and 17 boards. Sam Lewis scored 16 and Witte had 8 all coming in the 2nd half where the Birds turned up the offense outscoring SAYRE 43-28.

 

Nice win for the Birds.

HHS is committed to the up tempo, trapping, pressing style this year and puts up a whopping 10 points in the first half versus Lex. Sayre.

You can't press unless you make a basket and they only put up 16 shots in the first half against the SAYRE 2-3 zone. In the 2nd half they controlled the tempo and scored 43 points.
