Gotta give props to the Panthers of Fleming County. They're playing a very competitive schedule this year; tougher than anyone within 50 miles of Maysville with the exceptioin of maybe Rowan County.

Lexington Catholic played the role of hospitable host for the first 10 minutes against Fleming County in the Republic Bank Holiday Classic on Tuesday night.

The Knights were back on their sneaker heels as Fleming County took it to them and spurted to a 26-21 lead early in the second quarter.

After that, No. 10 Lexington Catholic was a grinch.

The Knights went on a 24-3 run that carried over into the second half, and they went on to win for the 10th time in 11 games this season, this time by a score of 66-52.
