NewCath pulls off Trifecta vs North College Hill

Featured Replies

Tripleheader tonight "up on the hill" vs the Trojans of North College Hill. NewCath Freshman win 39-19. JV win 53-29, Jake Schulte started in the JV game. Word is he asked to play for the JV to get more playing time to improve his game, and looked good tonight in both JV and Varsity.

Varsity started out close with NewCath up only 13-11 after 1st quarter. Then the route was on 38-25 at half, 59-37 after 3, & after building a 25 pt lead a final of 77-60. Everyone got in on the act as the Breds had an answer for everything NCH threw at them, plain and simple the Breds out hustled NCH, beating their press with some excellent passing. This ain't the O.J. Mayo - Bill Walker NCH of old by no means, but they do have some athletes but looked why out of synch. Drew McDonald had another great game (sorry don't have the numbers), as well as Hightchew with some great tribble drives to the basket for scores & assists.

Another tripleheader this Friday on the hill vs Roger Bacon 4:30, 6:00, & 7:30.

If McDonald is going to get the majority of PT then it's a smart move by the Schulte kid. I commend him for that. Says a lot about him as a kid and as a competitor.
