Looking forward to the Princeton game next Wednesday the 7th. I know Princeton took it to the Lady Rebels last year by 19. Seeing Hill have 10/10 last night is encouraging. I always thought Nash was good too. Sydney is always clutch.

Sydney had a bit of an off night shooting the basketball so she turned to defense and feeding nice passes to teammates. She did have a nine point burst in about a two minute period early in the third quarter, fueled by her defense, that ran the Boone lead up to 20+ and basically sealed the decision. Nash is really good at getting herself in good position to score and Moss got the ball to her very nicely last night. Hill did a nice job on the boards and can score in close.

 

I thought the win was a relatively easy one but sloppy by the Lady Rebels.

Should be interesting. Last year's game was actually tied at the half up at Princeton, but the Lady Vikings went on a 29-8 run in the third to break it open. Boone turned the ball over 25 times in that game with a bunch of those coming in that ill-fated third stanza. They will have to protect the ball much better than they have in the three games I've seen so far (two scrimmages, one regular season) to stay in the game. Princeton is extremely quick and can rack up 10 points in a heartbeat if you don't handle their pressure.

Mitchell is special. She may be the quickest player I've seen over the past several years, AAU included. Only Moriah Jefferson,the point guard from Texas, who has signed with UConn is in the same league.

 

Mitchell will flat out leave you in the dust with her devastating cross over dribble and she shot 43.4% from three last year. She's a bit off that so far in two games this year but is averaging 28.5 PPG and 10.5 RPG. Mitchell is a lefty so we'll see two pretty good southpaws in this one with her and Moss, although they likely won't match up one-on-one very often.
