No respect for Walton. Being Regional champs and only losing one starter, I would have thought they would have cracked the Top 25.

As far as polls go, because they are usually so bad, this one looks to be pretty accurate.

I agree - thought they might be there. Maybe the coaching change had something to do with it. Am surprised that Anderson is so high.

Don't sleep on Nelson Co. They had no seniors last year and nearly upset Marion in the region at Lebanon. They'll be there eventually.

I would anticipate LaRue Co. to be in there eventually as well.

Both LaRue and Nelson have the same problem...they don't play enough really good teams to find out just how good they are.

I agree on LaRue, but not so much with your assessment of Nelson's schedule. They scrimmage Anderson Co. Marion's back on the schedule, and they have tough games with Casey Co., J'town, E'town and the other top 5th Region schools, and they should get some quality games in the Mercer tourney (Lone Oak and Lyon Co. are listed as opponents in that tourney, and they figure to have a couple more as well).

It would be nice to see NC play some of the top Louisville schools, but it's not like the 5th Region is weak.

Nice to see Ashland Blazer getting some early recognition coming in at #20.

Maybe summer ball had something to do with Anderson being ranked 8th. They did go 6-0 aganist competition ranked in the top 14 on this list. Preseason polls are just that though.
