Lions roared out to 26-0 lead before West Carter scored. Garrard then fumbled the kickoff and West Carter got the ball again. The Comets kept if for almost the entire second quarter, not really moving the ball, but just getting enough yardage to barely get first downs. If not for the turnover, the Garrard offense probably puts this one away early. Garrard then completely dominated the third quarter moving out to a 49-6 lead. The final tally came in the 4th.

 

Next game is with the Russell Red Devils. Should be a good one!:thumb:

I like the way Garrard has came out and took care of business early in their last three games. They are delivering knock-out blows early. Next week will likely be a completely different story. Can't have turnovers next week and need to control the ball and the line of scrimmage.

Garrard only had 1 turnover tonight, but it could have been big. Lions led 26-6 in the second quarter and had a huge kickoff return, but fumbled at the end of the return. If no fumble, Garrard probably scores to push it to 33-6. Instead they put it on their defense to make a stop (which they did), but if they hadn't it could have been 26-13 AND West Carter got the ball to start the 3rd quarter.

 

It obviously didn't matter tonight but you don't want that to happen in a big game. But that's the only nit there is to pick tonight. Besides that, it was an absolutely dominate performance.
