I really don’t understand people’s fascination with separating of the state in NKY, EKY, CKY or WKY when it comes to sports. Do sport fans in this state really want to beat other parts of the state that bad or be better? Is it really that big of a deal to say that EKY or NKY is better? Where I am from all we did was talk about being the best in Alabama as a whole. We never separated the state up. I just really don’t understand it I guess. I have read for the past week "bring the championship back to NKY or EKY or WKY" and it makes me laugh.

I think it has a lot to do with supporting teams from you area! I don't see anything at all wrong with that! It just shows that we are willing to admit that a better team from our part of the state beat us and we want then to keep the trophy in that part of the state! It made Belfry look better when Russell won state! I will use 2A as the example! Russell last year was beat by the best team and wished us well on our trip to the Box! We did the same for them this year! We want that title to remain in Eastern KY to show that we are the 2A power of the state! I think it just shows that we are very proud of our area no matter if it is Northern, Eastern, or Western! It is a fact that you must beat the East to be 2A champs the past 4 years!
