It will be interesting to see what Coach Smith can do with a pretty talented core group of returnees and the young talent up and coming.

Papa Bear, not used to seeing you post on the Dixie Heights thread. Do you know does Dixie have a lot of seniors? The only one that I know of is Kayla Eiben.

Meridith Hertfield will also be a senior and could very well be in the top 5 scorers in the Region.

3-4 seniors who should be key contributors. My youngest daughter attending there this year as a freshman and playing basketball. She played last year as an 8th grader so my posts will be in a little different place for the next four years.

I will definitely have to try to attend when Dixie plays Scott this year. Sounds like Dixie has some senior leadership, plus they also have some younger talent coming through which will hopefully make for a nice basketball season. Plus, I know they have a new coach, which will help as well.

As several of my neighbors have told me, the missing link last year was the point guard who was out all season. Of course this year they have her back......and some upcoming talent.. I was told the coaches worked tirelessly the last few years to build up that program.. Not much you can do when key injured players are involved. Looks like those parents just wanted a scapegoat to blame so the school made changes..too bad for the players.
