Tyler Daughtery pitched very well for the PCHS Wildcats for 4 innings as Pendleton led 2-1 going into the bottom of the 5th. In order to have Tyler available for the 38th District Tournament he could only pitch 4 innings and the bullpen could not finish the job as Montgomery rallies for 11 runs in the 5th and 6th innings to win it 12-4. Pendleton drops to 12-11 on the season with the regular season finale on Saturday at 2:30 at Bracken County.

Pendleton should have won this game. It was a tuneup game for both teams, as Montgomery threw 7 different pitchers, and Pendleton threw 5 different ones. The wheels simply fell off in the 5th inning for Pendleton.

I happened to be at that game and Pendleton County played MC for three innings. They knocked the pitcher out of the game. From what I have seen in the 10th Region this year MC is playing nothing but Freshman and Sophmores. They are very talented 1-6 and in my opinion probably has more talent than most 10th region teams. They are young and lost a nail biter to Clark County in first round of District. Clark will give Bourbon County all they want. If Chase Mullins is on then it won't be a game. I was impressed with Brent Stoneking and the way he came in in relief and shut down the Indians to hold on to the victory. It was a gutsy move by Coach Allison but the right move. If they has left Withrow in MC would be in the Championship game tonight. Everyone says the 10th Region is down this year! I disagree!!
