Basketball season for 2011/2012 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Ashland? Remember, please be constructive.

I think Ashland, along with Rowan, will be poised to win the 16th region this year. They'll have to replace Dylan Delaney and Chris Johnson which will be a tough task. Corey Gregg will be a load again and a difficult matchup for anyone in the region. Ryan Whetsel and Cody Withrow will likely have to take on more of a scoring role. Kyle Bush will play the point and be a solid defender. Ashland will have to find a fifth to go with those four. I suspect Zach Hart will be a candidate along with Logan Salow, or my guess is that Ross Thompson gets increased minutes as the season moves along. Ashland will be solid.

If you were rating the 16th how would you rate them? Ashland always seems to be competitive year in and year out.

I'd give Rowan the nod at the top. Ashland after that. Then there's a couple of teams that in my opinion could contend. Russell, Fleming, West.

Is Buddy Biggs still the coach at Ashland?

Yes.
