Campbell County's left fielder, senior Corey Cox, suffered a season ending injury in a freak accident Wednesday. Corey fell on a piece of pipe cutting his patellar tendon. The injury cut 70% across the tendon. Corey received surgery Thursday morning to repair the tendon. He will have a six month recovery time.

Corey was playing the best baseball of his life. Both on the defensive and offensive side of the ball. Great young man and a huge asset to the Camels baseball team. The loss of him on the field will be greatly felt.

Good luck to the young man. Hate to hear about his injury and that he is out for the season.

Prayers for him for a full recovery. A sad way to end his Senior season.

That is horrible to hear. I hope he recovers quickly and can resume his playing career after HS. Sounds like he is a very good athlete.
