2012 10th Region Girls Tournament to BOKC???

Featured Replies

An extremely reliable source close to the program said that Campbell County Superintendent Anthony Strong would meet with the management group at the Bank of Kentucky Center on Tuesday, January 22nd and discuss the possibility of holding the 2012 10th Region Girls Tournament there next spring. It was hoped that perhaps the 10th could hook up with the 9th Region who is presently under contract to hold their 2012 regional tournament there, and create a more exciting, better attended, girls tournament for both parties.

The 9th and 10th Region boys and the 9th Region Girls regionals were held at the BOKC back in 2009 with both boys tournaments being deemed a huge success. The 10th Region Girls Tournament will be hosted in 2012 by the 37th District - the same district and the same leadership that brought the 10th Region Boys Tournament to NKU then. The 10th Region Girls Tournament is traditionally hosted at the Campbell County Middle School when the 37th District serves as host.

If an acceptable accord can be struck, it would then be up to the five 37th District Athletic Directors to approve the site.

This would be great. Would love to see the boys back there again.
