What does Letcher County Central need to do to improve in

2011?

What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

I watched LCC a few times last year and the 1 thing that stuck out to me was the lack of defense played. Under Hillard they played solid Defense but this past season they gave up yards and points way too easy. With a fan base that is very unhappy LCC better get on track in '11.

Based on what? Seriously the only place he has won was at Leslie with Tim Couch. Corbin, Christian Co, Powell Co? Never really seemed to get over the hump. Really never built the serious contender.

 

I think that defense was the serious shortcoming for LCC, their offense was good and I thought their QB was really solid and had a nice arm.

Just holding jobs at Leslie, Corbin, and Christian Co. is quite an accomplishment. Won Dist. at Leslie Co. and Corbin and was always in play-offs at Christian Co. and usually made a deep run. Was also in the play-offs at Powell Co. Mike has been a success everyewhere he has Coached and will be at Letcher Central. Getting over the hump must be winning the State Play-offs. No one has done this at any of these

schools since Mike left so I guess none of these Schools have been successful in Football.

Mike won at Leslie Co. At Corbin in 1998 he was 8-3. In 2000 Christian Co. was 1-9, Mike took over in 2001 they were 4-7, in 2002 they were 9-4 got beat in Semi-finals, in 2003 they were 10-2 got beat 2n round. Mike was 47-25 at Christian Co. Mike left and Christan Co. fell back to 6-6. In 2006 Powell co. was 1-9 Mike took over and they were 3-7, in 2008 they were 6-5 and made play-offs. Mike left and they fell back to 2-9. Mike will get the job done at Letcher Central.
