The Lady Cards dominated Pendleton County 89-62 Tuesday in Falmouth. Shamy Williams led Clark with 22 points and Kelsie Parido had 21 points.

Congrats GRC girls!!

Could it be that the Lady Cards are prepping for another region crown and BG destination with their recent momentum??? It looks as though they may be getting their mojo at just the right time.

The Lady Cardinals shot 55 percent from the field and connected on 13 shots from long range. Kelsie Parido led the long-range barrage with five treys and Shamy Williams followed with four.

Williams paced the team’s offense with 22 points, followed by Parido with 21. Parido missed just one field goal on nine attempts and drained all five shots from behind the arc.

Brittani Gay followed with 12 points and eight rebounds, followed by Prisha Rogers with 10. Rogers dished out six assists and had eight steals.

Tayloir Rose came off the bench and rounded out five players in double figures with 10 points.

In addition to the team’s outside shooting, Clark scored 34 points in the paint and got 21 points from the reserves.

“We shot the ball well, but this was a team effort,” True said. “We had players making the correct decisions and making teammates better.”

True also was pleased with his team’s defense, which forced 18 turnovers and collected 15 steals.

“Our pressure caused them a lot of problems,” he said.
