Pendleton County's junior, Kristen Smith who won the 8th Region title was named the female Player of the Year.

 

Grant County's senior, Zach Wright who won the 8th Region title was named the male Player of the Year.

Congratulations to JILL LEEDOM the PLAYER OF THE YEAR for girls soccer. :notworthy:

 

I can't imagine many defensive players have ever won this award. It's like the Heisman Trophy, it seems like the award always goes to the best offensive player.
