Holmes will meet Cincinnati Aiken this Saturday in the Bluegrass/Buckeye Classic.

Dogs come in 2-0 with victories over St.Henry and Brossart.

Aiken comes in 1-1 with a win over Cincy Shroder and a 24 point loss to Cincy Taft. (#1 in Cincy)

Aiken returns three starters from last years' 14-8 team, including Willie Moore who is being recruited by and has several offers from MAC schools.

Should be a match up of two very athletic teams that will want to get up and down the floor.

Thoughts?

Aiken is tied for 10th with Glen Este in this week's Cincy coaches poll. Hardly a ringing endorsement of the Falcons.

Taft is number one in the division II-IV coaches poll. LaSalle is number one in Aiken's division. With the Lancers being considered by everyone a serious threat to win D-I state, I think they are clearly #1 in Cincy at this point.

^^^^I should've been more specific. I was referring to Taft as #1 in the city for II-IV.

This game can be seen live on nkysports.com tomorrow night.

For those who haven't seen Holmes yet, this would be a great opportunity to see them.

Look for both teams to roll out the following starting lineups:

Holmes:

5'10 Pierre Mayfield

6'0 Chris Hayes

6'2 Jaleel Gray

6'2 Charles Knox

6'5 Dontel Rice

Aiken:

6'0 Gene Primus

6'3 Willie Moore

6'3 Austin Grimes

6'3 Olufemi Thompson

6'4 Michael Thompson
