Game for next Tuesday has been cancelled due to McNick being short on players due to their football team just finishing their season.

10 days removed from their last football game? I could maybe see this at a smaller school, but McNick is a decent size school. There are plenty of schools that deal with this every year and make due (NewCath, Highlands, Beechwood). I would not be happy if I was CovCath. Don't schedule the games if you can't honor them. Even if you take some lumps and limit the footballers minutes, some younger guys will get some valuable experience.

 

I'm sure NewCath would love to play Dixie later in the year and have a fresh Jake Giesler and Brady Hightchew, but they will still play next Thursday even if a few JV guys have to pull a few more minutes.

Very good point. I believe that is only for GCL games.

No because I played a game at Mariemont in the late 90's and players were only allowed so many quarters then. I cannot remember if it is per night or for a week...........not sure which

I agree that McNick should not bailed on the game - it hurts a team like CCH that needs minutes.

Freshman are still playing, but the game is at 6 instead of 4:30.
