Does anyone else think it would be a good idea for Kentucky to stagger playoff games like Ohio does? Classes 1A, 2A and 4A — the classes whose championship games will be played on a Friday — could play all their playoff games on Fridays. Classes 3A, 5A and 6A could play all their games, including the finals, on Saturdays. Teams could keep to normal schedules throughout the playoffs. There would be better revenue, better exposure. It's a win win.

I could go for this at the Semi-State level (would impact 12 teams). You might even be able to convince me for the Region Championship due to potentially long trips (would impact 24 teams). That said, the 1st 2 rounds SHOULD remain on FRI nights for tradition.

Games would stay on Friday night.

 

3A, 5A, and 6A are the only ones that would play their games on Saturday throughout the playoffs.

 

I personally think it's a good idea. As stated above, teams would get better exposure which means more revenue, and you would be able to keep a set schedule throughout the playoffs, instead of having to switch it up at the end of the year if you're playing in the state title game.
