Bethlehem opened a 21-0 lead in the first half, but Spencer roared back and tied it up at 28-28 in the waning seconds of the third quarter.

 

After that, big mistakes by the Bears, including a muffed punt after a good defensive stop, turning it over to the Eagles deep in Spencer territory, setting up a Clay Owens touchdown run.

 

For some reason, Spencer was driving in Bethlehem territory with a little more than five minutes to go, and tried a 52-yard field goal on what seemed like a makeable fourth down. The kick gets nowhere close, and Owens fielded it and ran it back to midfield. The Eagles iced it on a Austin Downs touchdown run with 2:34 to go.
