A couple of minutes to play in the first quarter. Mason County up 7-0 on a 53-yard TD pass from Pawsat to Shurn.

Danville on the move. They've fumbled on consecutive rushes, but recovered both times and are on the Royals' 5-yard line.

TD Admirals. Patrick Brand doing the heavy lifting. PAT good, 7-7.

Lots of penalties early in this one.

Two face-mask penalties in a row called on Danville, after a grounding call and a block in the back on Mason. Four consecutive plays, four consecutive flags.

Danville putting lots of pressure on Pawsat. 4th and 35 for the Royals. Danville ball on their own 41.

Three sacks and two intentional groundings on the Mason QB. This (allowing heavy pressure on Pawsat) was a major issue in last week's scrimmage.

Danville scores on their second ten-play drive of the quarter. Ads 14, Royals 7.

Ads up 14-7 at half. A far cry from last year's contest, where everything went Mason's way and nothing good happened for Danville.

Danville with good field position to start the second half, on their own 42.

Ads driving again, but this time Josh Harris intercepts and returns to the Danville 46.

Mason County with 4th and goal from the 1. Two sneak attempts from the 1 were stopped by the Admirals.

Ads defense holds as Harris fumbles on the 4th down run. Royals couldn't score with 1st and goal from the 4.

Royals radio crew pointing out that every time Pawsat lines up in the shotgon, Danville pins their ears back and gets great pressure.

I get up for 5 minutes, Mason scores, then Brand scores on a 72-yard run for the Ads. Danville up 21-14.

Brand (I think I'm hearing the name right) with something like 165 yards rushing.

Gilbert with a 39-yard return to the Royals' 44. End of the 3rd quarter.

Heat and humidity starting to take its toll, with players from both sides experiencing cramps.
