What does Shelby Valley need to do to improve in 2010/2011? What do they need to keep doing to be sucessful? Remember, please be constructive.

Well 1st of all, they need to a hire a coach, I believe Randy Davis (Dorton Middle School Coach) has been coaching Valley during Summer League.

I'd imagine Shelby Valley will be good again. They have great tradition over there and I would think they will hire a good replacement.

Shelby Valley graduated nearly everyone, and wil have very little varsity experience returning. They will be a senior dominated team, but I think there may be some really young kids (freshman/8th) that see time as well. I expect them to be in the top half of the 15th if they play together. They may struggle for an identity early on...

 

Returning players include Logan Lucas, Zach Ramey, Rusty Roberts, Trey Roberts, and Jacob Robinson.

No question the talent level will drop off for a little while, but they have excellent feeder programs and some excellent players coming up, so even though they might struggle for a year or two, they will be back.
