MLB50 Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Looks like 41st District has one player in 10 years. That's amazing, considering in 2001 Franklin County won the region and in 2003 Frankfort High was runner up in the region. Daniel Clark from Franklin County was by far the best catcher to come thru the 11th region. He was the MVP of the region and sectional tournament as a catcher/pitcher that hit 15 homeruns. Jason Williams hit 14 homeruns that year and played first base. He was 8 for 8 in the sectional tournament and no-one would pitch to him in the district tournament. Brandon McKee played Center Field and hit 12 homeruns that year. Joe Maciag was a pitcher in 2003 that thru 90+ and all of these guys tore it up in college as well. 3 of the 4 went to Motlow JC and Clark would have been drafted if not deciding to transfer to Kentucky State University because he was homesick. Chris Current played basketball for UofL but was an excellent baseball player as well from Frankfort High. Cam Howell was a catcher for Frankfort High that played for Louisville. You should probably do some homework before submitting an all-star team for 10 years. You might be leaving some guys out that are worthy. Ben Revere is the best player to come through the 11th region over the 10 year period. Ben Revere is the best player to come through the 11th region over the 10 year period. I agree that I don't think the original list is necessarily a great list. However, MLB are you aware that the 43rd district provided the winner for STATE most of this decade? So, if we're going to say most of the players for the 11th region should be out of a particular district.... guess what? I can't even begin to count the number of players that have been drafted from the 43rd and while Revere is a very good player with good potential, are you aware that Chaz Roe was placed on the 40 man roster this winter with the Rockies? He'll ultimately spend most of his time in AAA, but think you might have missed the call on the top player of the decade if you want to chose that guy by success.... which seems to be your criteria. Lists like this are subjective and simply opinion. We all have one... along with a dollar will get us a cup of coffee.
