Mustangs win their first outing of the season 5-1 over Grant County in Dry Ridge.

Senior David Greis was the starting pitcher, went five complete, did not give up an earned run, struck out six, while failing to issue a walk. Senior reliever Brett Lockman came on in relief in the sixth inning and pitched two innings of perfect baseball to get the save.

Jake Ollier had 2 RBIs and a stolen base, Travis Norton went 2-for-4, and David Greis was 2-for-3. Joey Martin also recorded a ribbie.

Freshman catcher Tanner Norton gunned down a prosective Grant County base-stealer.

Mustangs take on Bellevue at Vets Field at 5pm on Tuesday.

Great job to the Mustangs! Also to senior David Greis on his opening day win!
