Garrard County defeated KSD tonight in the 4/5 game of the 45th District. The Golden Lions will now face Boyle County in the district semifinals on Wednesday evening. Garrard County didn't play well, but the defense and rebounding in the second half was strong enough to pick up the victory.

 

And just a quick note about the kids from KSD. They absolutely played their hearts out and gave a terrific effort, leading 29-26 at the half. The Colonels aren't very deep and they tired a bit late in the third quarter, which allowed Garrard to push the lead out to 10+. The Colonels were led by a lefty named Jordan Ramser who absolutely could play for about 75% of the teams in Kentucky. He is a fine player. So again, congratulations to KSD for a really nice ballgame.

KSD can hold it's own against other states SD. That said, I'm surprised that KSD led at the half.

Definitely. I hadn't seen him play before but he was a joy to watch. Just a very talented kid who had a great understanding of how to play the game.
