Nice victory for the Birds to finish out the season.

 

I saw a little of the game and it looked like coach Flynn was rotating a lot of guys and they were playing a lot of zone.

 

I hope they can get everyone healthy for Districts.

Wasn't this team 19-5 or something?? REAL nice win for the Birds heading into the districts. Birds' bench seems to now be "battle tested"...time for the REAL SEASON to begin. Good Luck Bluebirds!!!!

They were 19-5 but the few minutes I watched Bullitt East they did not impress me much at all. With that said, I thought the Birds did a nice job against their zone finding the seams and Stewart knocked down some open looks. He had a follow up to Smith-Keller's missed layup that he tried to cram home but it rimmed out. The bench is getting nice minutes down the stretch and will need to be ready for the Tourney.

 

If the Birds can defend the 3 point shot against what likely will be NCC in the tourney and put a body on Geisler they have a shot to win.

That's a tall order..pun intended...to put a body on NCC's Jake Giesler. In your opinion, how much will HHS miss Grubbs against the Breds?

Grubbs has gotten the best of Geisler in their past meetings so I would say it is huge.

 

With that said, I think Stewart's length and shot blocking ability will be a positive for the Birds.

 

I think if you give Geisler his 18/10 and shut down their 3pt shooters you are going to win the game.
